This has 3 fanatstic games and is £20 more than the Premium console on its own, so buy it now!!

Firstly, I own a 360, Wii and PS3 and without doubt for me the X360 is currently the heavy weight champ of the next gen consoles. More about the console later. This package is amazing

When I got my X360 at launch, a core package before upgrading to the full package here and buying all the extra hardware and games to make this package in total cost me £450, and here it is at £20 more than the Premium console on its own. You get £120 worth of games for spending £20 more. In total your saving around £230 than buying all games and Peripherals seperatley

The games included here are uterly awesome. Crackdown a full on action RPG and addictive, want to see what the next gen fuss is about, Gears of War is a new benchmark in gaming gameplay and graphics like nothing before it. Forza a brilliant racer, plus all these games are 360only

The supplied HD component cable also includes standard definiton connections so if you've not got component inputs on your TV this should not put you off.

Graphically the X360 is superb in HD. Graphically currently the best there is, the PS3 although its hardware is more powerful cannot match the X360's visuals at this time of writing, and the games provided here will show case that.

You will need an Optical Digital cable to make use of the X360's surround sound and it is excellent.

I'm sure you've heard horror stories about X360's breaking down, mine did. I was gutted but the service by microsoft was excellent. It was within its warranty period (which is standard 12 months), when it broke I rang microsoft, they emailed me a UPS package logo, snet the UPS man round to my house to pick up the Xbox, and sent it back repaired about 1 week later all free of charge and no hassle. So if it does break its not the end of the world. And now the warranty period is 3 years instead of 1.

Xbox Live is without doubt the consoles edge over the competition. Xbox Live Arcade is excellent, with nearly 100 games available at around £5 each and new games released every Wednesday (Arcade Wednesdays) there will no doubt be something there for you that you remember playing in your miss-spent youth.

Xbox Leaderboards appear on all games - so reckon your good, see how you compare to the rest of the world who is online playing the game.

Online Multiplayer is awesome, Gears of War co-op a highlight, but all games can be played online in someway.

Sure, the X360 has a noisy fan when you play your sound at low volumes its clearly audible. But put that with the Pro's - Beautiful graphics in HD, brilliant on line gaming. A gamercard to track your achievements in games youve played. Customizable dashboard, hundreds of games and at least 20 excellent ones, that it will play your DVD's, speak to computers in your house so you can view photos from there harddrive on your main TV, stream music from your PC whist playing games and play your music in every game rather than the games in game music. Has Digital surround sound output. Great voice communiction and easy friends management, child friendly settings. Play your own music in game, keep your games upto date for any bugs and play new levels via downloads. And this list isn't extensive

To sum up. Right now the X360 is the best, in 6 months, when the PS3 has some great games in its catalogue there will be a battle for supremecy, but right now, this is the best there is and this is a tremendous value for money package

Forthcoming Xbox Xclusive are numerous, and yes, multi-console games such as spiderman 3 etc... appear on all, but Halo 3, Fazora, PGR, Bioshock, Crackdown any RARE game Xbox Only

     WARNING!! Great console but flawed

The red lights of death appeared on my 360 on 07/07/2007. I've had the console since launch in 2005 and never had a problem. The day before I didn't even know about the red ring of death, then I read an article about Microsoft extending the warranty to 3 years because of this problem and rather suspiciously my 360 was struck down right in the middle of a game of Forza the day after!

It's good news that the warranty has been increased and that I will get my 360 fixed for free, I'm just waiting to see how quickly Microsoft fix it and return it to me. UPS picked my 360 up on 16/07/2007 and as of today (06/08/2007) I still haven't heard a peep from Microsoft, but luckily I've got my PS3 to keep me occupied until I get it back.

Even with the problems this is still a very good machine and an excellent bundle of games. Both Gears of War and Forza 2 are brilliant (though Forza 2 isn't as good as I was hoping as there is a lot less content in it than there was in the original Forza on the Xbox). Gears is so good that I played it through on every difficulty level, no other game has ever made me want to do that. As for Crackdown I couldn't really comment as I've never played it, though I know people that have and they say it's very good.

The main selling point though for the 360 is with online playing. This is still streets ahead of what the PS3 is currently capable of, though it is getting better as Sony try to catch up a little with Microsoft. So if online gaming is your thing the 360 would still be the console to get, plus if you have no interest in watching Hi-Def films this is also cheaper and at the moment there is a much wider choice of games on the 360 (but that won't last forever once games start to be released more for the PS3). Another plus for the 360 is with xbox live arcade, which gives you access to a lot of reasonably priced games, some new games and some revamped classics all in nice sparkly hi-def and there's a wide variety to suit all tastes. The one I'm waiting for is Speedball 2.

Having said what I have, even though I think the 360 is a very capable machine the advice I would give to anybody thinking of buying a 360 is to maybe wait a while until Microsoft confirm that any new 360's they make have had the faulty components replaced because apparently the hardware failure that causes the ring of death I mentioned at the top is very common (hence the extension of the warrantys) and can happen to 30%-50% of all the machines made. Having the extended warranty is good but having a console that has a better lifespan and therefore doesn't need the extended warranty is better. Plus the black Elite version is coming out later in the year and that should be more robust and has a bigger hard drive plus HDMI output, so if you've waited this long to get one maybe it's worth waiting a little longer for an improved higher spec version (though that one is more expensive obviously so it could depend on your budget). Also there's a possibility that the Elite version will have the new chips which run a lot cooler and therefore won't need a cooling fan that sounds like it's about to take off! I even had an extra cooling gadget attached to the back of mine so you can Imagine how loud it got!!

     Top Notch

In response to AikonEnt the ring of death has been a major problem from the 360's release 2 years ago. Mine occured 4 months after launch. They do not fix the ring of death they simply replace your console because the ring of death symbolises a complete hardware failure including overheating. My 2nd console worked fine until it kept scratching GEARS OF WAR discs and no other....had it sent off to Microsoft believing it was the disc tray and it was. Basically you should never move or touch your console or even change the FACEPLATE as this can reallign the disc tray and even damage the lens in side causing major circular scratching to your discs. Also try to use your consoles CONTROLLER to open the disc tray as much as possible and keep it well ventilated and not on top or underneath anything that could restrict heat escaping. Having said all these things the xbox360 is the best console out there for an all around experience from online play which all 3 of these games have to xboxlive arcade to relive your favourite arcade classics (Although they still need to realise 4player coop mass ups are the best like The Simpsons...Xmen....Ninja Turtles 4 Turtles in Time). For those thinking about getting a PS3...don't because all of the games are not exclusive to the PS3....Assassin's Creed and COD4 Modern Warfare for example are great games coming to both systems. Whereas the 360 does have EXCLUSIVE titles like Gears of War which is the game most people play online. This is the cheapest deal around and to be honest you shouldn't bother getting the ELITE because the first batch of those will have errors and the 120gb harddrive that will be coming out seperately for anyone who wishes to increase their space from their 20gb ones. I wish I had got this deal but unfortunately I wanted mine at launch. If you are thinking about getting and xbox360 deffinately get one just treat it so well (I have NES and SNES which still work and it just seems the 360 unfortunately needs to be SUPER LOVED). ENJOY THE 360 AND GET READY TO GET INTO THE GAME.
