Really enjoyed the single player mode, online...was good but just didnt do it for me. The graphics are superb. Unfortunately me and quite a few others seem to be unable to get some achievements for some reason, i.e - completed the game on realistic mode TWICE and still no achievement and also still cant get the Private first class achievement for some reason. As i say single player and the terrorist hunts are superb but i still prefer part 1 for online play.A very good game but not great.

Well im pretty new to the rainbow six series and have only played vegas1 once before, so i was a bit skeptical when i bought this game.
Luckily, this risk has payed dividends as i am introduced to game that is a really good all round package. The story although a little vague and hard to follow keeps you playing and the constant change of scenery helps keeps you interested. The gameplay is great and although, according to other reviews, it may not be as tactical as the games in the previous rainbow series, it is the most tactical fighting i have played on the xbox.
The game makes you think about every move you make, you can't just run and gun, unless maybe you are playing casual. But even on casual it is hard to stay alive while doing it. I think the cover system is really good and is a key part to surviving in most battles you fight.
I also like the range of weapons available as there are so many. Although most need to be unlocked.
The A.C.E.S system is probably the best unlock system in a game i have seen in a long time and works well with the level/rank system.
I like the customization of your player aswell, you are able to pick from a range of armour, clothes, helmets, goggles and masks.
Somethings i didn't like were the faces. The faces looks a fit fake and don't have that texture in the face that you would find in a different game.
Next comes terrorist hunt. Well i think again this could act as a substitute to a campaign its that good. You have a variety of levels and its good fun having to work your way round a level hunting all the terrorists. One bug though, often the terrorists spawn by triggers so sometimes you could run past a place and no one will be there then when you come back there could be 1 or 2 enemies and they kill you by surprise.
Sadly, i don't have multiplayer so i can't really review this section of the game but friends have told me that multiplayer is one of the key elements to the game so it must be good.

Oh one last point. Oddly enough, i got this about one or two weeks ago where this edition was priced at £17.99 on play. But then it went off sale for about a week. (i noticed) and now it is back on sale at £39.99 so i was lucky i guess.

Yeah sure if might not be a proper sequel but I think of it as a huge stand alone expansion pack kind of like the Dawn of War expansions on PC anyways back to the review,With Vegas 2 they managed to make a great game even better by adding ALOT of new features including Join in Join out Co-op,Aces system which allows you to earn XP for your rank and new weapons plus of course new maps with some of the best taken off Raven Shield,to cut this review short if you loved Vegas 1 then you will like this game alot of new features will keep you coming back for more plus with new free DLC out which allows for more ranks after elite you will keep on playing till the next R6 game comes out.

Fans of the first Vegas should not be disappointed with this game, single player campaign is very strong and plays smooth.

Graphics have been sharpened and much brighter than Vegas 1, better physics in this game, the way the enemy go down depending on where u hit just makes it feel much better.

This game is great for those players who like a co-op experience instead of death match.

I give this game 4 stars, it was almost 3 but i dont want to be mean because i do like it... however the thing that annoys me the most is Ubisoft have not touched up the poor spawning system, on single player it isnt all that noticeable but on terrorist hunt it really is awful, sometimes u can see that a room is empty but upon walking through the door it triggers an enemy spawn and at times they can just appear in front of you. Im no game designer but come on! there has to be a way of spawning 30-50 enemy around a map with more accuracy than this. (i understand why it is like this, it would take alot of processing power to maintain all terrorist's positions and actions around a map at the same time which could degrade game performance)

I'm one of the extremely rare people that doesn't play games on Xbox Live. I prefer the cinematic single player experience rather than the monotony of multiplayer. This game is a superb package for the single player with a thrilling story mode and a highly addictive Terrorist Hunt mode. At this price it's an absolute steal.

A* graphics, amazing gameplay makes you feel like a swat team member, headshots feel great. will keep you entertained for weeks. get it

Great step up on first version. Love the introduction of runnin etc and the maps etc. Why people compare to COD 4 dont know. It is unrealistic , when in war do you ever just run out into open and shoot, erm just let me think about that part. Vegas 2 brill loving the improved cover system and shooting through objects. Great game to pick up and play and a blast online well done !!!! Job well done !!!

Had this game since launch and I find the Terrorist Hunt to be one of the most addictive, social and cooperative games I've played. And I've been gaming since Atari Tennis.

Not fuused on the advisarial modes, cos they take away too much of my Terrorist Hunt time.

Brilliant weapons, superb kit, amazing gameplay, challenging and a GAMEFACE system that works well. Get some right giggles on it.

this is one of the best games i have ever played and i i had to say one bad thing is that u die quickly but if you get the hang of it its hard to die so this is a must buy!!!
