A new chapter of the critically acclaimed Kingdom Under Fire series is in development exclusively for the Xbox 360 video game and entertainment system: Kingdom Under Fire: Circle of Doom. Departing from the action RTS formula seen in previous Kingdom Under Fire games, Circle of Doom is an innovative action RPG that makes full use of the Xbox 360 processing power to create a revolutionary gaming experience. Players will explore vast and randomly generated maps while battling groups of monsters attacking from all directions. As the game progresses, the heroes will find increasingly advanced and spectacular ways to defeat enemies using new weapons and learning new abilities. Players can even create their own arsenal by combining existing weapons and enhancements.

Taking full advantage of the Xbox 360 console's online features, Circle of Doom seamlessly merges single and multiplayer modes. Players may choose to play alone, or recruit up to three people to continue their quest as a two- to four-player co-op team via Xbox LIVE, without switching modes. This next installment immerses gamers into fast and bloodthirsty action, with stylish fighting moves executed with easy and intuitive controls.

Dark and Twisted Reality. In Kingdom Under Fire: Circle of Doom gamers will travel through dark and twisted alternative dimensions. The beautifully detailed environments in this innovative action RPG include a forest, a lava cave, arid and icy wastelands, a European palace, and the inside of a large creature. Players can also access each character's dream world to add quests for new abilities and discover more about the alternative dimensions.

New characters offer unique weapons of choice. Players can choose from a cast of six unique characters with different combat styles and abilities. Experiment with more than 50 abilities, 60 enhancements and an infinite combination of weapons, abilities and spells in Kingdom Under Fire: Circle of Doom.

Unique gameplay modes provide variety of action. In Kingdom Under Fire: Circle of Doom, single and multiplayer co-op modes are seamlessly merged and integrated into the story line. Gamers have the option of playing alone or recruiting additional players to continue their quest, without switching modes, via Xbox LIVE.

An expansive gaming experience. Kingdom Under Fire: Circle of Doom will include 40-50 hours of single-player gameplay and require more than 100 hours to experience everything the game has to offer. Randomly generated maps with fully destructible worlds provide high replay value with a new experience every time a gamer restarts a particular stage.

Kingdom Under Fire Circle of Doom is a game in which you will either enjoy or hate and I am here to do my best to help you decide as to weather you will enjoy it or hate it before buying. To start with the first game that comes into mind that I could compare it to is Diablo 1 but in a 3D graphic setting.

I myself enjoyed the game greatly, my reasons being its replayable, there are 6 characters to choose from, random map generation, each character has their own storyline and plenty of skills to learn. Just like any game out there it has its ups and its downs and I will clearly state each of them in as list of the ups and the downs.

      The Ups:
1.Good lengthy RPG hack and slash with plenty of action
2.Each character has their own storyline
      3.Plenty of skills to learn
      4.Random map generation for replayability
5.Three difficulty modes, Normal, Hard and Extreme
      6.Upgrades on all equipable items

      The Downs:
      1.Map generation can become boring
2.Some maps are very awkward and hard to navigate through
3.To learn a skill you need to kill a certain amount of a specific monster, some monsters can only be killed in a certain difficulty
4.Some quests are not very clearly pointed out such as location or how to get there.
5.Some people may find the controls a bit awkward
      6.Upgrade system is complex
7.There are no towns in the games, just idols in which you can trade and upgrade with.

In my overall result as when it comes to the game, it is nothing new and nothing fantastic but if you like your hack and slash with plenty of violence and games similar to the Diablo series you will enjoy this game but it is not a game to expect a fantastic gaming experience from but is enjoyable. Please do note that when I say it is similar to the Diablo series, i am just comparing it in game style not in how good the game actually is, just to clear what confussion might be put up by that, the Diablo series are better games but this game comes very close to it in gameplay style.

I hope that this has help in deciding as to weather you would enjoy the game or hate it.

       Well...

I bought this game thinking it would be a through and through RPG; levelling up, completing missions, etc. Even in a hack and slash style game, some of these aspects should come into play. But they don't.

The gameplay is lifeless, one button will do where many should be needed. Weapons aren't earned, they are picked up as you kill monsters. Synthesising weapons leaves a lot to be desired and doesn't add as much to things as it should.

There is no way this game will be anything but a time waster, for when you cannot be bothered to think and are just in the mood to kill, kill and kill some more.

It gains 3 stars instead of 2 because, after paying £45 for the game (alas I did not get it on play.com) I cannot bring myself to rate it as less. No game should cost that much and not earn atleast 3 stars.

ok. but leaves a lot to be desired

When i first bought the game i must admit i was excited. the graphics in the game are ery impressive indeed, having up to and possibly over 100 enemies on screen at one time is quite a sight to behold. however what the game has in terms of looks it lacks in playstyle and definition. i expected it to be a button mashing killing spree, which to some extent it is, however with an entire controller full of buttons it resides only on about 3 main ones. this sadly makes combat pretty much unintersting after the lustre from your first few battles wears off. the story lne for the most pat was ok, mystic warriors defeating evil to save the world cant really go wrong too far, however the best parts in that story are dulled down by weak scripting and repetitive comments made by many of the characters. the musc throughout the game definitely sets the mood as it seamlessly transfers from calming melody in the forest, to the doomsayer heavy metal of combat. The weapons and character development in the game is interesting to say the least. very similar to the style of LOTR: 3rd age, with stats to increase and weapons and armor to update and upgrade. With 6 different characters to play with each of their storylines the game will last you a while if you can stick with it, and the addition of co-op mode for up to 4 players really gives it a nice touch as your slaughter minions of darkensss with a few good friends. a beer, KOF:COD, and a few good freinds will make this experience much more enjoyable. overall the game is worth giving a try, especially if your in the mood for a night of button mashing carnage. but to more indepth players i would advise its worth playing the demo prior to buying the full game to see if the control style and general feel of the game matches to you.

      summary.
      graphics: 5/5
      Game Play: 3/5
      Music 4/5
      replayablity: 4/5

Worst game i have played in a while

i cant really say i was looking forward to this game. The single player was so boring the i was rather watch a snail moving. The only part of the game i llike was the xbox live bander i got with my friends playing it. The was so repeative it was unreal, i did not really like the fight in the game either ( even though i have enjoyed other games with the same fighting style). I have to admit that the graphics on the game was good but the game play let king under fire down.
