After reading the reviews on the net I was expecting a little more to be honest. However, it is quite a solid game with pretty good graphics, but i'm just not that much of a basketball fan - thought id take a pop at the delightful price that Play are selling it at. Basically if you like basketball then defo go for it, if not I guess you will more than likely be into football so get FIFA 08 if you don't have it.

I think that this game would great for any basketball fan. The reason being that and game play is the best there is, personalised dunks for every player and are stylish and huge. You can also create your own player and enter him into any roster, you can force the trades, so basically you can create any team you want. But the downfall that this games graphics are not as great as NBA Live 08 BUT the graphics are still very good. Its a great improvement from NBA 2K7. I have got the game from play.com and at this price nothing can beat it

its the perfect game for gameplay and basketball, with brilliant graphics and good gameplay but if you dont really understand the mechaniches of how non domestic sports work the "assosiation mode" can be difficult at the end of the seaon becuase it doent really explain how to re-sign players or how the siging period at the end of the seaon works and runs

2k8 is simply the best basketball game on any console and for £15 new its a bargain

Live 08 was good this year but 2k8 still owns. realistic game plays and player signature moves is fantastic

This game is legendary compared to live and that other ps3 rubbish and for 14.99 i thought that it was going to be the case with no disk inside or something but when it arrived ONE day after i ordered it to my amazement it was the full game, manual and case in A* packaging. Truly a bargain of epic proportion. *****

kicks the cr*p out of the LIVE series for realism, only flaw being some of the remodeled graphic on certain superstars faces look abit less like themselves than on 2k7, but most look much more realistic! the addition of more complex plays are a huge addition, the ai is much better and the game is more realistic, the post play is literally 100% better than the last game, and the shot stick is even more potent.
basically if you like basketball you need to own this game

Hard switching from 2k7 to 2k8, but once you get the swing of it, the gameplay is far greater and realistic, didnt used to be a HUGE nba fan, until i played this game, loved it
