This game is great and is so exciting. The cars are well good and there is so many of them. Its a bit of a shame that you can only do xbox live multiplayer but still the game is amazing. THIS GAME IS WELL WORTH THE MONEY... (well done codemasters)

I found this game AMAZING as soon as I played the demo I wanted it. The graphics are outstanding (best I seen on the xbox 360). OK when they made this game they didn't really go for the "realism factor". But that's not why I bought this game. I bought I so that I could go fast, go around corners fast. I am a GT fan and I thought PGR was ok; it may not be as real as GT but its so much more fun. This is why am giving it 5 stars. 5 stars means perfect its not that but its as close as a racing games got in to xbox 360 line up

Customer rating: 5 out of 5 stars Phwoar!

This game is thoroughly enjoyable and incredibly realistic. You don't have to break 100 metres in advance to turn the corners like in Forza 2 and your car actually responds to damage unlike PGR4. While Forza may be more realistic in terms of driving experience, who wants to drive sensibly?!
That's what this game is all about, you can drive like a maniac and your car responds to any form of damage, even if it's just scraping against a wall. The replays are stunning and use the different camera angles very well.
People have complained about it being too hard and that the AI are too good. The truth is that it's just realistic, the AI do overtake each other and do make mistakes which makes it all the more fun and challenging. You have to have a degree of sensibility about your driving in terms of cornering, if you break too hard at the last second you will spin your car, or if you brake too late and hope to just bounce off the barrier, you won't. Your car will completely respond to any contact, and crashes will affect the performance and appearance of the car. This maintains a sense of realism while keeping the arcade fun feeling of being able to go round a corner at 100mph (maybe a slight exaggeration).
Overall this game has it all, incredible graphics and physics, fun driving experience, clever AI and spectacular crashes! What more could you want?

Graphics dont sell any game but these graphics are beautiful, blur motion effects are cool and realistic. Added to this is the believable speech throughout the race and imbetween. Gaining liscences gives the game a cool twist and makes it that little bit challenging. People are being put off by the small selection of tracks and cars, but the amount of races is quite substantial and will keep people going for quite some time.

Being a totally online player, i was amazed at how much i love the career mode of this game! i spend a lot of my time crashing into things, then rewinding it and crashing again, but through trial and error i have found success!! brilliant game, a must have for all race game addicts.

Great game, very easy to lose yourself in. graphics are awsome, and the rewind feature is a great idea. Also a good amount of different race types, from F1 to Demo Derbys. Gets a little repatative after a while but which driving game doesn't. A Great buy for any driving fan.

When I first saw screen shots of grid i have to admit i was blown away,im not a huge petrol head so havent been collecting driving games like PGR or Forza, but when i saw graphics like these outside of a burnout game i was impressed. The game has so much going for it as a single player experience that ive not even tried playing online,it has gameplay elements of serious racers and the damage detail of burnout. Even though you can ram other cars and drive like a crazy person its not really recommended as damage to your car really does matter and when your handling or gearbox goes with no way to repair during a race you'll be cursing yourself for not being more careful, altho a few bumps and scrapes are ok just as long as you dont get too heavy handed as the AI react and retaliate which to some can be a bad thing, personally with a game with no rules its nice to know the AI can give as good as they get. The other thing id say about the AI is that, yes they do seem to get a perfect start in most races and they can be aggressive but it also makes errors like spinning out,or crashing and being put out of the race. If you enjoy games such as forza or pgr and burnout then id definatly give this a go,it seems to take the best out of the other racers and make possibly the best one of the year so far.

Customer rating: 4 out of 5 stars You Are The Driver

BlueRogue | 04/07/2008 | See all BlueRogue's reviews (85) »

Grid seems a little different to other race driver games as it contains less licensed tracks but what it does have is a good variety of cars.
Rewind is a welcomed element as it's very helpful for beginners. The career mode gives you the feeling that you are the driver and not the little computer man you are controlling.
But it does take a while to get used to this game, you may not get everything right on your first go but the game doesn't resent you for it, as it's quite simple to build up small achievements to gain some confidence for the bigger achievements later on.
To conclude it's a very user friendly game.

This game is the best driving game ive ever played, it wipes the floor with nfs: pro street and is very similar to pgr4,the graphics are fantastic & the sound is amazing. If you don't like it then your probably rubbish @ it.

Customer rating: 3 out of 5 stars Great graphics, poor dynamics, terrible sound

It is alright really, but just alright. The graphics are good - sunlight/shadows provide an extra challenge, but the dynamics are pretty poor, and the sound is thin and reedy - Forza Motorsport is MUCH better for these aspects. After TOCA 3 on a PC I expected far far more!!
