  Streetracing at it's BEST

Got this one some 2 years ago and I still play it, it's damn addictive. Fantastic graphics, large map with a lot of variety and so many cars to choose from. THIS is streetracing.

  I`ve left the Midnight Club

The game is good at first, but it just gets boring and repetitive, and the story is plain. If I were you, I would just rent it.

  Much Better than expected

Very good graphics, cars handle realistically. Took me a while to complete the whole thing. You work your way up from very average cars, earning money and advancing to the fastest vehicles, motorbikes being quickest. All vehicles can be customized extensively and made faster. All in all great fun

This game is great, and if u liked the last one then u will like this one. the graphics are good, car customizeastion is not very detaild, there is deffinitley too much traffic in the game and u cant reduce it like u could in the old midnight club, so a big dissapointment and u loose ur money as soon as u buy it.

Imense Gameplay, Top Customisation & Alot of Racing!

| | See all TerenceScannell's reviews (1)

If your one of those gamers who wants a game where you can relax and do up your vehicle to the top standard you want it to be. Well, you're halfway there. The customisation in this game is what makes it. If there were none, I would not have bought it. But, if you don't really like games like Forza where you just drive around a track you may be a little disappointed. The gaming is great, the graphics are outstanding but to get access to customising your cars to a great standard, you need money. And the only way in getting money is by racing and erm... more racing. Midnight Club: LA is not as laid back as games like the legendary Need For Speed Underground 2. So just a word of warning. If you don't like loads of racing, this is not the game for you.

  WARNING!!

This game is absolutely awesome!! You can drive convertibles and during a race or cruising you can put your roof up or down and the customization is incredible! There aren't to many cars for this game but you can download them.
BUT BEWARE!!!
I bought this game for xbox 360 and after 2 weeks or so it just stopped working. There are other people across the internet that have had this problem. I have had it replaced twice and both times it has broken.

  Good

This game is good but probably not as good as it could be.
At first it seems quite boring but when you get into it it can be a very good game but you have to be an amazing racing game driver due to dodge the everyday traffic of los angeles during races.
If you get frustrated easily then you should stay clear of this game due to you may have got very far on a race and just about to cross the finish line of a very hard racer and a normal car just pops out of nowhere and crashes into you.
You then completely lose control of your car and lose the race.
but this can also be an amazing game due to the beautiful cars and you given the ability to pimp them up and make them look like cars that have just come from a japenese drifting tournament.
in conclusion if you love a challenge then this is the game for you but if you hate geting frustrated then you should leave this game on the shelf.

A polished Game let down by its limited gameplay

| | See all Mobius's reviews (173)

Midnight Club is visually impressive, it's definitely the best of the entire series.
If you enjoyed the previous versions of Midnight Club then this is a must purchase, the game is fast good looking and enjoyable, the handling of the cars is a joy to play and just adds to the fun.
The down side to Midnight Club is its longevity, though it gives you loads of ways to customise your ride and gives you a huge city to drive around; all the races start to feel the same.
Overall it's a good game but don't expect to be playing it for long,
I want to give it 4 stars because it's a polished game, but I'm going to settle for 3 stars because of its limited lifespan,

  5 star driving game!

| | See all mattdking's reviews (2)

Excellent driving/racing game!, easily one of the best around and at the current price its a bargain!, The customisation is very detailed and you can pretty much do anything!. For example making custom vinyls which you can rotate, re-size and scale. The races are quite challenging and may take a few attempts to complete but this ensures you dont get bored of the game easily! overall very pleased, its a must buy for racing game lovers!! p.s also another great feature is the ability to take photos of your car and upload them for other racers to see online!

Very dull, lasts a few days at most

| | See all CyberDogg's reviews (6)

I was initially excited about getting this as the customisation looked superb and graphically the game is very good. The real let down for me is the gameplay. The races all take place on city roads, sadly not abandoned ones but roads full of traffic. Each race is simply a 'dodge the computer road user' test rather than a real race, they have little to do with skill and are decided by unlucky spawns of civilians on the roads.

The choice of cars is also a major disappointment with only a small selection of manufacturers being represented. Once you have a tricked out Saleen with all the upgrades the game will gather dust on your shelf, and that can be done ina few days of non hardcore gaming.

The difficulty also scales, meaning any ideas you have about finding noobs in Scirroco's or Golf GTis and blazing them in your Lamborghini are ultimately futile because the computer will also be driving a high end car. Essentially, there is no reward for bettering your car as the cpu player will have the same one, pointless eh?

Online is also faily dismal for the same reason; everyone drives the same car, there is no variety. This is one to rent or borrow from a friend. I sold mine after 3 days.
