I don't know about you, but i loved the oiginal, so if you liked it aswell then you are going to love this game. It expands on all my favourite things about the original, such as the guns and being the akrid!!! So i definately recommend this game.

Been playing this since its release..but as was expected it came with the usual amount of problems..glitches and plenty of lag..the few extra things they added would have been great if capcom could have sorted the problems out first..i used to love this game but sadly my opinion has changed very rapidly as i think many players have to..you notice this by going into player section which is now nearly allways empty..but theres usualy a few ranked matches on the go.a once very popular game,now not so popular..my advice if your going to get this game..go for a second hand copy.

If you liked the original (as i did) you'll love the extra online modes, It's worth the money just for these, You'll find yourself addicted to the online multi player mode, I can't put it down, those clever japenese must have added some kind of addictive drug to it ,you just can't get enough of it. Akrid hunter seems most popular online and leveling up it quite fast. A must for all original LP veterans.
Hurry up with a LP 2 please.

Lost planet was a great game, original, old school, classic bosses, great shooting and an brilliant multiplayer to boot. It was a great adventure though the story mode although being abit short and a weak plot. The multiplayer quickly became a hit and many enjoyed its nature. It was so fast paced and addictive but it only needed more variety like maps and weapons to make it a must buy. With the colonies edition it gets just that. New gametypes have been made like capture the egg(flag), new story mode add ons like boss battles. The best added on thing though is the new amazing maps and the loads of more variety in the multiplayer. The addictition has been raised to 10 and the variety and different modes have been improved a great deal.
So why only 4 stars? Well if i could i would put it as a 9 and a strong one but people who have already got the game will proberly not buy this and not many people will anyway. So the online community for new maps and game modes arent that strong. Still playing with your mates is very fun if they have it. 9/10 A great classic of a game!!!

The online in the original Lost Planet was very good. Capcom have taken it and made it excellent with the extra modes and weapons, and in my opinion, it is one of the best shoot 'em ups available to buy for the online play.
However in the original, the single player campaign became dull. It's still not great, but the new modes can be fun and add a little bit extra spice to the offline play.
An extremely worthwhile buy for those who enjoy playing shooting games online.

this was a good classic game but they have done a great job very goood online fun packed with lots of different modes to play and offline extra modes to keep you busy this game worth buying with play .com its the cheapest around geart value great online and offline its a good buy for a game

well worth it ,also very good online multiplayer modes great fun.
