I was exceedingly excited when this game dropped to £26.99, so I snapped it up. To be honest I was disappointed with the gameplay. Now I realise that everyone hopes for realistic gameplay, but this goes too far in my opinion. I'm a big pro evo fan and unlike most I was a fan of pro evo 2008 (although on live it can get slightly annoying!). I just find the pro evo series a little bit more fun and exciting to play. I would say that if you're a fan of Fifa you will undoubtedly loves this, but i'm afraid it's not for me!

Ok the euros might be over but this game is still worth buying.
The game isnt as packed with as many features as you would expect from fifa, however the captain your country mode is fantastic, the online play is 90% lag free (unlike pes!!!!) and there is nothing better than winning your mates time and time again. Which is why this game gets 5*****

An excellent game, it plays better than fifa 08, and the little tweaks here and there have improved it, commentary is very good and i enjoyed the captain your country mode too.
Overall i would say its the best footy game out at the moment - get it!

UEFA Euro 2008, is basically fifa 08 with some improvements. Many of the flaws of fifa have been fixed for this international based football game. However, you may think that if you have fifa, you're better off saving your money.
If however, you think differently you will find that the graphics have been improved slightly for this game and the whole gameplay experience is overall, more enjoyable.

In conclusion, if you have fifa 08, you may want to save your £40 and simply create what is essentially the end part of this tournament int the create a tournament section, but if you really are that bitter about England not getting through, you may want to pick up a copy, it will not dissapoint

Customer rating: 5 out of 5 stars Best football game out on the PS3

This is the best football to come out on the Playstation 3 so far, graphics are great and nice choice of football teams. This is much better the pes 6 and while similar to fifa 08 it is not as slow as fifa yet it still has alot of fifa's good features. Buy this game because in stores its £50.

Customer rating: 4 out of 5 stars Getting better all the time!

I've been a massive pro evo fan since the PS1. I was tempted by the good reviews Fifa07 got, tried it and pomptly traded it in. I waited a while until Fifa08 dropped in price, and was pretty impressed, but still found myself veering to pro evo 2008 after a few games. I tried the demo of euro 2008, liked it bought it, and have been playing Euro 2008 for a couple of weeks now. The gameplay is excellent for a Fifa title- the best yet. I'm still 50/50 between this and pro-evo, which i never thought i would find myself saying! If they have the same amount of improvement between this and Fifa09, that they had between this and Fifa 08, with all of Fifa's improved options and presentation, then this could finally be the time for Fifa to overtake Pro Evo as the console football king!

Some of the things that let's it down are, 1.) just like fifa 08 it has button lag & still has the bad habbit to pass it the wrong way, 2.) even if you set the auto switching to 100% manual it switchs your player when you don't want to & at times doesn't let you change when you do want to change your player, 3.) when you play Captain Your Nation you can't transfer the stats you built up with say a weak team to a stong team or your own nation, when you turn on Team Pressure Tactic the other team still finds a way through more times than he should & the Defence falls asleep. Some of the plus's are, 1.) a online cup but you don't know if the player won a match after E.T. or P.K.'s 2.) & it looks much better than the Football games that are based on the Euro Championships or World Cup
