In Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince, Voldemort is tightening his grip on both the Muggle and wizarding worlds and Hogwarts is no longer the safe haven it once was. Harry suspects that dangers may even lie within the castle, but Dumbledore is more intent upon preparing him for the final battle that he knows is fast approaching. Together they work to find the key to unlock Voldemort's defences and, to this end, Dumbledore recruits his old friend and colleague, the well-connected and unsuspecting bon vivant Professor Horace Slughorn, whom he believes holds crucial information.

Create magical potions with Professor Slughorn - using the Half-Blood Prince's Potions book.

This game is infuriating! I grew up with Harry Potter reading all the books and being a fan of the games! With The half blood prince I found that I finished the game wanting something more! The graphics are good and the storyline is ok but the gameplay is dull! There is far too much walking about doing not alot and when it comes to battles there are not enough and not exciting! The underground cave battle is easy as are the duels! The lack of action may be due to the movie cutting out the large battle at the end? I would say the games would be better sticking to the books rather than the films as the films are dire! The only thing that will keep you on this game is the extras such as quidditch and potions and that is only if you want to get the easy achievements points!

It very losely scans over the plot of 'The Half Blood Prince,' concentrating on key-plot sequences rather than detailing explenations and what-not.

The graphics aren't too bad, although some sequences and details looks a bit ... goofy ... at times. Other than that, game play is better than the previous game, with a lot of different levels and goals to achieve.

The castle is much easier to digest and explore this time round, with Nearly Headless Nick as an 'easy-to-follow' guide if you get lost, rather than the annoying, vanishing footprints from the last game. There are a lot more places to discover inside Hogwarts that were non-existant before. (You, also, get a brief flight around The Burrow, and an encounter with some weird looking inferi-zombies in a cave.)

Quidditch tends to get a bit repetitive, but it's quite fun nontheless. Flying is easy to get used to after a bit of practice. The only problem is getting the hang of flying through the goal-hoops.

Duelling is fun, but it can be a bit easy when you get the hang of dis-arming your oponent (which doesn't take long to master at all.) There are a selection of new spells that create different reactions. Two-player duelling is great fun. You can play a selection of character's from the franchise and duel your opponent.

Over all, a pretty easy game. Didn't take me any more than a few hours to complete, and I'm not a huge gamer. Still, it's really fun while it lasts, and it's nothing I wouldn't play again just for the fun of it.

                   Too easy

It's good for graphics, storyline as it's like it should be, feels like it would be like the movie will be. Characters look good, voices are good, good physics, fun potions making, duelling and quidditch practice/matches. However I felt it was way too easy as I started playing it at about 4:30pm and completed it by 8pm with just a few easy achievements left to unlock. Most achievements are unlocked by doing compulsory tasks. Not worth the money, Worth renting if you really want those G's.
