Turtle Beach Ear Force X1 Stereo Headset

WOW !!!!, Thats the word to sum up this headset, I actualy have the x11's which is the up-dated verson to the x1, but none the less these are awesome, You get the best of both worlds here - 1. Mega sound I mean you can hear everything e.g. Modern warefare 2 you can hear people coming up from behind if your sniping, our anything coming your way. And Red Ded Redempition you can hear sooo much more with far better sound effects, 2. Built in mic, so you get awesome sound and can chat at the same time. And both the mic and sound have there own volume switchs so you can balance to two to suit your needs. And to be honest there is a lot of wire but I have no issue's with it, as I taped it up and tucked it away job done... Would be lost without this bad boy headset now...

I've had my Turtle X1's for almost 2 years now and I've not a single issue with them.
The sound quality is very good for playing FPS' such as COD and even though the sound is only in stereo you still get the impression of where the enemy are and hearing bullets fly past you etc.

For the reviewer who asked about PS3 compatibility - Yes they are although you need to buy an additional USB adaptor.
Google a a company called Limexb or search for Turtle Beach PX1.
Although I rarely play my PS3 now, I did use them for Killzone 2 and I found these to be the best headset for the PS3.

For the cost of a game you really can't argue that these are a great buy!!

Now I just need to save up £220 for a set of Astro A40's ;)

I'm fed up with the cheap Microsoft headsets breaking all of the time. So I decided to invest in a pair of X1's.

Brilliant sound quality and not too heavy. Great for use in games like COD4, GTA IV, etc...

Worth every penny.

Ok i got a pair of these imported from America last year and have had no problems with them at all.

They are a great and cheap alternative for surround sound as u can hear every little detail of the game that you thought never existed before. From some one reloading from the other side of the map on Gow or a grenade going off behind you in call of duty this little beauty will pick it up. They are easy to install one wire goes into your usb port on your xbox or pc and the other goes into the headphone port you can get going in no time at all.

The only down side is the wires! They are every there and i can be quite annoying if you are in to the wireless stuff at the moment. But don't let that put you off of them because they are a great buy.

i bought the X1's roughly 2months ago, and don't get me wrong their great, You can hear you friends and Game Chat Amazingly, And The Bass You Get out of these headsets is phenominal you feel like your there, for Games such as CoD - WaW, + CoD Mw2 You can hear people rustling in bushes and moving also planting + defusing the bomb on s&d (i don't play anything except these games so i don't have any recolection on G.O.W 2 etc...) But my friend has just bought the x31's and he can hear alot of things further and alot clearer than i can, so if your undecisive about buying the x1's or any other turtle beach i'd say pay abit more and get a good set. i'll post another Comment telling you how good the x31's are compared to the x1's to help anyone out who's abit stuck... thanks Brad :)
