Ignore some of the melodramatic reviews that have been psoted. This is not terrible, it's average, rarely excelling above that level. The attempt to make a story is ill conceived but i've seen worse. The graphics are very good, especially on the cars. The races have a slight rubber band feel to them and the game is too easy to complete, but with a variety of cars on offer and some decent fun to be had i would recommend it if you're sure you don't want Dirt or Grid, or if you've played all the better racers on the console.

one of the worst racing games i have played on.....ever!!!
i recommend PGR3 PGR4 Forza 2 Test Drive and even the older NFS games, this is the worst.
once you have completed a few races you start to realise how frustrating it is, CPU cars verring across 6 empty lanes of road just to spin you out, the auto catch up is just BS, and the cars seem to have assisted braking, go round a normal corner at 180mph just to suddenly be at 30mph?? thats whilst holding accelerate. be warned. I'D RATHER PLAY ON KONG OR HOUR OF VICTORY THAN THIS!!!!!!
positives to this game is..... it looks good and plays smooth enough.

This is definately an improvement from need for speed prostreet. I borrow this off a friend and the campaign was good. The races arnt that hard to win and you are able to stick to one car again. The achievements are easy and fun to get aswell.
Online is superb. You are given a wide range of different game modes like cat and mouse plus races like sprint and circuit. I dont think there are any draw backs as its very original and amazing. Well there was one draw back with the campaign, there wasnt much variety of cars and the races were a bit to easy. Im not a good driver either so.
It is a big improvement from all the other need for speeds. If you are into these games then you should get it. The graphics arnt that bad and you are very unlikely to get confused with the career. But between career missions you might find yourself having to do another 10 races before you can carry it on
Overall 9/10. Definately a good game worth getting.
