Rainbow Six: Vegas has always been one of my favourite FPS's, even ahead of the highly rated Call of Duty series. Its more of a tactical shooter and a lot more strategical, you have to think of what your doing, know when to shoot and know when to hide.
The storyline follows on from the first, Las Vegas is being held to ransom and its up to you and your team to sort it out and restore peace.

Controls work perfectly, allowing you to switch weapons, crouch, blank fire and even when your in cover you can set up your shots. One bonus that the game has, is with some of the shut doors, you have what's called "Snake Cam", it allows you to put a small camera underneath the doors and you can select any enemies in the room by pressing select and when you breach the door your team will pick them off one by one, good times. The AI team members are also well controlled too, they don't just stand around and attract gunfire but actually help you in the fight.

Graphically, its fantastic, not the best you'll see but definitely one of the better ones. Once in a blue moon it may drop a few textures for a split second but its nothing i couldn't live with.

Overall a fantastic game that will give you good times all round and even the online modes can hold their own even after you've completed the campaign. One to own for sure.

This game is great after playing it for a while if you are a rainbow six vegas one fan then this is brilliant but if you love cod4 and the great raphics and smooth gameplay of cod then this will take some getting used to. I mean dont get me wrong rainbow has neither bad graphics or poor gameplay it just is harder and less fluent than cod 4. For example on cod 4 it is easier to stay alive where as on rainbow it isnt you really have to watch your corners but tis is really a great game and if you get it our assured great gameplay and great fun.

Being a big fan of the orginal Vegas and other Rainbow Six games I was bit upset that this game didn't last longer. It had the ability to be good with the new maps and new game types, but it was just lacking in progress from the first the maps just looked like add ons and the maps DLC. The graphics marginly improoved so still looked blobby. With the sort of challenge system they made to progress levels worked but it was a bit short. The story mode cleared up some things from the first Vegas but was really just there. Online is good with character customisation but some Lag issues still occured. I would give this 3 and a half but you can't.

Customer rating: 4 out of 5 stars Not as good as RSV1

I desperately wanted it to be better, I really did.
It isn't as good.
RSV2 tries to be better, it really does, but changing the lead character was a cardinal sin. (Although the two AI players are the same).
Nice little add-ons, being able to dress yourself, but I feel the gameplay suffered. I was shocked to discover that in one of the warehouse scenes, the game went slow mo.
Still, the basic controls remained the same and it is still immensely satisfying shooting people and ducking behind cover. But why have rewards and such for doing so? Extra rewards for shooting behind cover, shooting from distance and headshots. I feel the game suffers.
Whilst I love the RSV series and find each one as addictive as the other, if I had the choice, I would go for RSV1, they should have just kept everything the same and seamlessly continued the story.

Ok, so it's pretty much the same as RSV, but with a few new touches - the ability to run for instance makes the game flow better. Multiplayer/Co-Op is great. A very good game indeed, and for less than 20 quid it's an absolute bargain.

Customer rating: 5 out of 5 stars Very Good Game

I first bought this game because i am a massive fps fan. I couldn't get the hang of it at first because i couldn't kill anyone. ( I'm not bad ) but then i realized that head shots are an instant kill. This i why i now love this game because it takes a lot of skill to be good. I would say this game is probably as good if not better than cod4. At this price its a must have game.

Customer rating: 5 out of 5 stars stolen from cod4 ??!

Firstly this is an awesome game, but honestly you can't compare this to cod4 dnt get me wrong cod4 was one of the best fps ever along with halo, but this a "tactical" shooter 2 completely different game ideas, the online is less fast paced because of it but its brilliant in its own right, and how is bullets going through cover a stolen idea did guns not shoot thro thin wood before cod4 was made ??!! :S stop nit picking the game is worth the 40 quid i paid just a steal at this price !! Cheers
