Graphics are awsome, really good gameplay. My favourite mode is demolition derby lol. Really good fun, buy it if you like racing games.

Could of done with more car types, the cars all feel a little simular, the old race driver games had tons more cars, there is nothing stupid on this one like monstertrucks or gocarts and its a shame they left out polos, saxos and stuff like that

Online is fun but you get people that spoil the experiance by smashing you off track, you can remove colisions but its not very fun when you dont have to make an effort to pass someone.

All in all its the best racing game i have ever played and i hope codemasters add a bunch more cars and tracks in the first downloadable content patch ;)

Don't get me wrong, this is a great game...but it could have been sooo much better!

The visuals are amazing, controls are intuitive, gameplay is excellent. The damage models are just incredible and you won't believe the different ways you can trash your car.

After a while of playing, it just gets a little boring. There are only a handful of different race types and the only goal seems to be to earn as much money as you can. I've got millions in my GRiD bank and don't see that there's anything worth "spending" it on.

The rewind/flashback system is great and very well done; when reviewing a race, you can have a complete 360 view of any scene but you can't save the replays anywhere! I don't see the point of having this great replay system with these amazing graphics, when you can't keep them.

The worst thing about GRiD is that there is NO 2 player option on the same console. Even TOCA:3 on the original Xbox had a 2 player option! If a friend who doesn't have an Xbox comes over, you'll have to take it in turns and can't actually play against each other...how lame.

the game is ok but the action starts the moment you enter the game, the AI is very advance too advance in my opinion. after 4 hours of playing i started to get used to it but the AI is still a big problem. when i do get into first place they smash into the back of you knocking you on to the grass which you cant get off of very easily, when you do finally get off it your last and the drivers are miles in front. youve got a 99% chance of destroying your car.
also one more thing, they dont give you much credit for winning the race, you actually cause more damage to your car in the race than you actually win in cash.

if your used to nfs dont get this,

easy is the same as hardest level possible on most games.

I bought this Wednesday and arrived Friday Morning Well done Play great Job. The game and Graphics are Fantastic i started playing it on friday and i am already hooked. The stock car races are my favorite. There are so many different types of Cars and Races there is something for everybody. I like you dont have to get your Licence before you race you earn your licences as you race.

You can get different sponsers that pay more money for each race and earn more money or you can do one off races for other teams good way to get quick money. You create your own team and Nicknames that they call out when your racing. Each team has it own colours and Paint Job.

The damage on the cars is great you can really see the car wrecked and bits fly off when your racing.

If you like Racing games and got a HD TV the game is ace

I am a big forza fan, I played the grid demo and thought it was ok, but too arcadey..... however seeing the spec ed of grid for £30 I went for it... glad I did, it is fantastic, the graphics are so much better then FM2, ok you can corner a lot quicker, not as realistic as forza, but as Grid states " its all about the race ", switch to incar view and it is awesome, you can even see your feet coming on and off the pedals!! Ace touch, the flashbacks are brilliant, loads of different classes to race, even the drifting is quite good ( if difficult! )...the demolition derby is a right hoot too !
5* So glad I went for it!, no tuning, no altering set up, no having to drive VW beetle till you earn enough money,,,, No more FM2 for me!!

I own both Project Gotham Racing 4 and Forza Motorsport 2. I like them equally the same because i play PGR4 for the motorbikes (which are brilliant) and Forza for the car driving.

The reason i picked Forza for car driving is because the driver has more freedom but it still remains realistic. for example, you can powerslide but it still looks and feels like an old Gran Turismo game. PGR4 is just visually poor in comparison and is too focused on KUDOS to be called a driving sim.

GRID- in my opinion, is what Forza 3 would be like. Stunning visuals and fantastically fun (but realistic) handling. I literally love this game. The Demo was pure class in the M3 :P so i had to buy!

I am no fan boy following one series,as you can probably tell, so if you are similarly minded - BUY THIS!

P.S. I also play:

GTA4 *
FIFA 08
COD4
DIRT *
The Orange Box *
Halo

Customer rating: 5 out of 5 stars Flashback anyone??

Theboy83 | 14/07/2008 | See all Theboy83's reviews (8) »

Superb game, great graphics and gameplay. You can even have your "manager" etc say your name (if it's in the list - the first time I've ever seen this on a game - but I could be wrong). The flashback option is brilliant, so many times i've made one mistake on a racing game and it's cost me the championship - but not on this game - you get a second chance (well 4 of them actually) so you can rewind the incident and jump back into the action attempting to correct what you just did (or didn't do).
I like all the racing events with the exception of Japan - some of the street courses there are extremely difficult and dangerous and the shading gets in the way, so you can't see the truck you're about to smash straight into.... but, of course, it's not supposed to really easy, so it's not a down point, just a "I wish they'd not done that". The season always finishes with Le Mans but make sure you have no glare on the telly, else you're not gonna get through the night so well - I had to guess where I was going it was so dark..!
But with the edition of making your own team (colours, design, adding sponsers, finding a decent team mate), it's a truely great game to have.

Customer rating: 5 out of 5 stars NO WAY:-(

I am so upset, not because the game is bad, because i bought my normal edition for £30 when i could of waited for the special edition. Any way GRID is one of the best racing game ever made..NO LIE, it is million times better than pro street and pgr4 although i love all the PGR games. Enough said about GRID just by the game and enjoy the ride.

Customer rating: 4 out of 5 stars Hard to the Max (for me anyway)
