        Top 10 PC Reviewer

This game is great, you can see the similarities between this and Call of Duty 4:MW (they use the same gaming engine). Graphics are great, gameplay great but I'd say the framerate is not as good as COD4: Modern Warfare. Just played the first level and onto the second so I can only review the where I am up to in the single player. It's pretty intense, you can be stealthy, or all guns blazing, found it hard to be stealthy so far. Plenty of achievenments. Multiplayer is set to be intense. If you're a fan of Call of Duty, this is very similar, just different guns and enemies and with a Gears of War style cover system. If you're a Bond fan you won't need telling to get this game. The question is, if you can only get one game this month, most people will go for Gears of War 2, if you're not a Gears fan, and stuck between this and Call of Duty 5 World at War, I'd suggest this. CoD5:WaW is very similar to previous games, few new things keep it interesting. However, for me, Bond is the right choice. Please give appropriate feedback ratings. Thanks

I played the demo of this on the pc and by the look of it , this is going to be the best bond movie game since Goldeneye on the nintendo 64. I am so looking forward to this as im a massive bondfan. Any fan must buy this game.

James Bond Review - "Boring... Very Boring"

        | | See all Chris0601's reviews (10)

At first I thought, ah finally a new James Bond game coming again, let's see if they have managed to beat the classic "James Bond - Golden eye", sadly, once again, they have failed... and maybe this time they have done it worse than ever.

This game will jump you straight in to the middle of the fight, where "Casino Royal" left of, and all I can say is, oh my god... what a disappointment, I could not help but notice how bad the graphics actually looked, the cars in the cinematic's just seemed to slide against the floor, almost something you could imagine seeing from the play station 1, not from a next gen console. James Bond him self looks half decent, but very shiny at the same time, along with the other character models in the game, which bored me to death with the way they only have 1 death animation, which looked like something from halo 3 (not saying that's a bad thing, just not suited for this game). The environment in this game was said to be completely destructible, but I honestly had a hard time finding a piece of wall to blow off or anything to brake, apart from the occasional glass panel.

Now lets be honest, everyone of us wants to be James Bond for at least one day, so we can have a go at the cool gadgets, guns and cars, well we know for the very most of us it wont happen... and you will not get any of them in this game. You have very standard guns, such as a pistol, machine gun and a shotgun (which looks terrible), with pretty much the exception of the pistols looking good.

This game seemed to be described as a FPS, and most of the time you will be taking the back seat to, and jumping into a third person shooter, which I found really annoying at most points, this happens because of the duck and cover system, which works in all fairness... but you will rarely ever shoot someone from the first person angle, as you get changed to third person when ever you cover, and if you don't cover... then you will die.

Don't get me wrong this game had some exciting scenes from the movies, which gets your adrenalin rushing, but for the most part it doesn't make sense, it just seems to stick you in missions that aren't in the game, and you do not get anything that links the story together beside the database telling you throughout the loading points, and its literally just someone speaking to you, its hard to care about the story.

This game, now like many others in the market, have incorporated real time events, which has you pressing buttons and the right time, to pull of the right moves... which in some parts of the game is quite good.
but when it comes to the instant kills, which have you sneak up on an enemy, it gets very boring... and this is because they have, once again, not made enough animations for the deaths.

The multiplayer is not going to change the way multiplayer is, its just average, with the very low variation of maps and modes, its hard to care about it.

Now for the length of the game, it's short... Really short, I think I completed it in I think the first or second day I had it, and then got my money back. This game does not give you anything to re-play it for. With all the mindless achievements and the occasional door to be hacked, with simple ways to do it, this game is just not worth the £40.

Considering its a James Bond game, you would think it would be amazing, and it could have been if it had more time spent on it. I feel as if it was rushed so it would be ready in time for the release of the film.

I am not recommending this product as a purchase, maybe just a rental. If you want a truly amazing FPS I would advise such things as: Halo 3, Call of duty 4 or 5 and Gears Of War.

I suspect a lot of you will be sharing the view I had, which was that this will be another EA type failure of a bond game - how wrong I was - Now I have played Goldeneye N64, and have found myself saying that this is the best bond game.

It gives so much, the cover system is like that from Gears of War, the engine is from COD4 - which adds greatly to the experience.

The mix between Casino Royal missions and Quantum are cleverly intertwined - as are the game graphic movie sequences.

If you want to enjoy this game to its full extent then play it on 007 mode (the hardest setting)

Graphically pleasing in almost every way.

As for multiplayer - When I could finally wrench myself away from the single player mode I decided I'd try online play - superb to say the least.

        To sum up:

This game is a classic in the making - A Must buy!

This game is very good for a movie based game, its using the Cod4 engine (this does not mean it is COD4). The graphics are average, but for me its the environments that do it, they are really realistic. The AI on the enemy is quite good as they will use cover and try and flank you. Moving on to the multiplayer. The multiplayer is similar to COD4 as it uses its engine. There are around 12 maps which are all very different, to unlock weapons, perks and attachments you have to gain money from playing online, you can then spend money on what you like, wheather it be SMG with ACOG or a supressed sniper rifle. Overall this game is awesome with lots of action, its worth buying. My rating opinion is about 8.5 out of a possible 10. I look forward to playing you online soon.
