Spider-Man: Web Of Shadows

Being a big spiderman fan and only played the original back in the old days on the PS2 I decided I'd give this a try seen as it was having a few good things said about it and the fact that its not a movie game (most games based on movies aren't very good). Apart from the bad start in this game the rest follows on very nicely, the story line is what you would expect quirky and fun. The controls and the moves make this game good in my opinion the fact that when you fire your web to swing there has to be something to fire it to so you can't swing off of nothing in mid air like on some of the old ones. with a vast New York city scape to explore you'll have good fun weaving in and out of all those buildings and getting those collectables (like orbs on crackdown and horse shoes on GTA). Even though there is only 3 chapters they are big! with side missions aswell this is a good size game. The only problems I have picked up on are some glitchy game play problems but they've hardly happened. Oh and it froze in like the first fight when i put it in. Sure that was just bad luck though.

Being a Spider-Man fan, I bought this even with the average reviews. The story and voice acting in this leave a lot to be desired, but swinging around the city is pure joy. The game has made a few improvements to the older games, but kept a few of the worst aspects. The fighting does tend to get a bit repetitive and there is a total lack of side missions. So why did I give it three stars? The web swinging. Its all I really did and I loved it. If that doesnt appeal, maybe this isnt the game for you.

Well, I can't really remember the last good superhero game (excluding Crackdown) and this certainly doesn't manage it. The swinging ain't bad, but the graphics and fighting really aren't good. The voice acting is terrible, Spidey sounds like a 12 year old American that's really whiney. The story is passable, although I don't see how some of the stuff fits into the Spiderman universe. Regardless of this, it is the best Spiderman game since 2, although since 3 was so bad that's not saying much. Easy for gamerscore, but I would recommend only hardcore Spidey fans need buy this.

its not that often that you get a great game based on a comic character but this has done it great. there is so many characters in this game(only play as spidey though lol) and you can change any time through red or black suit, the only thing that put me of was spidey voice it just did not seem to go at first but then it grows on you.
so many choices to make in the game as well which adds a good replay value to the game a must have for spidey fans no doubt!

For the spiderman fans out there this is a game to have. In a way its as good as the spiderman 2 game for ps2 but with better grahics and options. You can spend many hours on this game, there are different scenerios that can happen which can depend on which colour suit you are. Thats also a cool part of the game is when you can change into black spidey anytime you can. Great game overall!
