Time is your weapon. Time is your enemy. Time is collapsing.

It's 2010. A powerful and wealthy Russian mercenary has reopened a mysterious research base on Katorga-12, an island off the coast of Siberia. This island was the site of Soviet experimentation in the 1950s that led to a catastrophic, Chernobyl-sized accident - the Singularity - that fractured time itself. Katorga-12 was abandoned, locked down and shrouded in secrecy until today.

You play as Nate Renko, a U.S. Air Force pilot sent on a recon mission to investigate new, wild readings coming from Katorga-12. Your plane is brought down, and you quickly find yourself in the middle of a massive Russian cover up that started during the Cold War and that threatens all of humanity today. You fight to survive, and to stop the Singularity from spreading and destroying the world.

...........with no fuss comes a cracking little game!
Given the fact that this game has had basically no PR pushing it out it makes you wonder if they doubted the quality of the product hence pushed it out very quietly, if that is the case then they are sadly mistaken as this is a quality title.
This really is like a spiritual successor to Bioshock, it takes large doses of influencing from that classic title, there are lots of times you can imagine that this is an above water version of Rapture since the architecture and design is so similar.
Imagine Fear, Gears of War, Half-Life and Bioshock rolled into one and you have this game, not to knock it it's more of a nod in their direction than a blatant copiest attempt.
Story wise it's strong and I like the TMP design although it could have been used even more!
As said the single player story is well worth playing through and it even has a decent multiplayer community too.
Out of the 2 multiplayer games, EXTERMINATION and SOLDIERS VS CREATURES the 2nd one is better with more playability and use of the creature classes........in laymans terms they are Capture the flag and Team Deathmatch respectively.
Overall a strong, not classic 5 star game, but good one, my only fear is that without the proper marketing this game will be bucket bin material and will sink without a trace quickly which is a shame as I would like to see some DLC to add life and extend it's shelf life before.....excuse the pun, it's time is up!!!!!!
Well done the devs, go on buy it and give it a blast.

Fans of Bioshock will love this one........

I bought this last week, and did a few hours over two days after work. I knew then that I was going to lose my weekend to this game. It's fantastic, and in my view as good as if not better than the Bioshock series. I cracked it on normal, and now am going through on hard. And it's very hard! Quite good achievements, I got about 460 going through the 1st time, and now am trying to mop-up the other ones on the 2nd play before having a serious tilt at the multiplayer side. If you have plenty cash - buy it, you will love it. If you wait till you find it 2nd hand you will find a little gem of a bargain game. Hope they do another one.

This years suprise - Exellent but short

Singularity is a good FPS. It is a cross between Bioshock and Timeshift and to be honest it combines them brilliantly. It has had no real PR or marketing but has suprised me and i think many other gamers. It has a good twist with the TMD (Time manipulation device) with adds alot of experimentation with the combat, by aging soilders to dust or blasting off there heads and limbs. The graphics are great and the dismemberment is suprisingly fun. And even though the puzzles can be annoying you have to comibine your powers to solve them wich can be fun. Overall this is a great game with a good storyline that twists and turns but does not confuse. I would rate this game 9/10 and you should buy on the basis that it is a great game but not a outstanding one.

This game has seen little hype, little promotion and well, it just came out with nothing in its favour at all! and let me just say this is a fantastic game! great levels, killer enemies, scary atmospheric sounds and surroundings. Very BioShock in terms of controls and atmosphere. Very well executed game, lovely graphics and voice acting. I paid full price for this game and It is definitely worth it. The multiplayer is unnecessary and not great but its all about the single player! Horror survival fans must buy (its not super scary, but it does make you jump a lot)
