             Do not buy, Rent

Played a copy of the demo and seen several reviews of this game so when I say dont buy it, rent it I know what I mean. The gameplay is very fluidic and fun, and theres nothing more fun that slashing people to pieces with the games dynamic and easy to use combat system.

But unfortunately this game has sever major drawbacks; It will give you at most 8 hours of gameplay. There is no live, no coop, no form of replayability whatsover. If you do buy this you will play it non-stop for about 2 days and then never play it again.

Its a great game but it isnt worth buying, rent it or borrow it off someone stupid enough to buy it.

             garbage

afro samurai, more like awful samurai.Got more joy out of the demo for the new x-men game than this poor excuse of a game!!

I only write reviews on games/movies/albums that I thoroughly recommend... this game is one of them. Its fun to play and the graphics aren't too bad at all.
The soundtrack was many written by the RZA to any Hip Hop fans out there and so the tunes that are in the game are awesome and fit the genre extremely well.

             Good

Im not usually one to pre-order games or buy on release as i like to wait for reviews before i comit to buying however ive seen the shows/movie and loved them so i pre ordered.
            ok good points-
If u liked the shows you will get a great buzz when playing this as it is so much like the show
if you like hip-hop or the RZA you will LOVE the music in this, when a fight starts loads of enemys will jump at you and a deep hip hop beat will just get you pumped
the fighting system is really fluid and easy to pick up however more advanced moves are tricky, u can do slow motion moves that are visually stunning and just make u feel like a pro ;p

            bad points-
            hardly no interface
            no multiplayer
            no DLC
not alot to make you play a second time although there are a few veryyyyy hard to get achievements
and the story line/missions are a bit weak
            platforming is appaling

id recommend for a fan of the series

             This game is good........ NOT!

            Top 100 Games Reviewer

Im not a fan of the anime, but the lure of Ninja Gaiden with hip hop intrigued me, so i took the plunge. I now wished i had not. There are moments of quality, the graphics are good and I'm informed that the story is faithful to the anime. However, the button mashing gameplay without much sense of control leads to a dull hack and slash that doesn't do much that's not been done elsewhere. The black and white focus mode is pretty enjoyable, makes the kills more gruesome, but when the mechanics are so weak it's difficult to enjoy these moments when they pop up. Heavy reliance on bullet time and a pretty annoying side kick means that this is probably just one for fans of the anime. A particularly enfuriating boss battle against a flamethrower equipped enemy was very cheap and rook a large chunk of time, ruining what up to then was an ok hack and slash. Missed it's chance to get up there with Devil May Cry and Ninja Gaiden due to linearity, fluctuating difficulty and gameplay that's been done before. Could have been a lot better.
