When this first came out i had'nt played it or seen any footage of it but bought it anyway. It is a great game and very realistic!!! I like that they have removed the extreme mode and replaced it with the 125cc and 250cc which is a great touch! The graphics are amazing the bikes and riders look realistic.if you like motorcycle racing at its best then you should buy this game!

The best moto gp game made, the graphics are amazing the gameplay is pretty darn good and they got rid of extreme mode and replaced it with 125cc @ 250cc. A must buy for any moto gp fan

I got this game on christmas day and was so excited? I know why now it isnt crap like the last one its not arcadey like the last one the graphics are amazing! The only thing(s) that annoy me are the lap times and the sound the bikes make. The lap times are too fast and the engine sounds are terrible apart from the fiat yamaha. Overall would reccomend this game. 4.5 / 5

This game is great its best to do it on advanced as simulation is just a little to hard, oh and dont listen to tallboy1 review as he said the order of difficulty is arcade, simulation then advanced, but actuall sinulation is harder than advance as you cant touch the grass in simulation but you can in advanced and get away with it. All in all a excellent game

  Happy!

Arrived today, was really chuffed with the free t-shirt! Well done Play.com (wasn't expecting a free t-shirt as it didn't say anything about it on the order)
The game is for a Christmas present for my MotoGP mad brother! I'm sure he will love it!

No where near as good as moto gp 07 myself and 2 friends all purchased this game as we were all big fans of 07 but this was a big dissapointment, the handling is poor nowhere near as fluid as 07 its as bad as superbikes 08, the sound is not as realistic, graphics are ok and the night races are a good idea but this does little to help the game, all my friends have returned there copys of moto gp 08 and returned to 07 and i know were not the only people to do so. Shame on you capcom

  Better in every way

I must admit I was apprehensive and the first time I played on it I thought that it wasnt as good as 07. The second time I actually engaged my brain and realised this is absolutely awesome. The number of different difficulty setting is great. Not only can you adjust the level of the opponents AI you can change the handling too, between, arcade, simulation and advanced. Arcade is fully assisted handling so you can hit the throttle as hard as you want and the brakes without really coming off. You can then set the AI to easy, medium, hard. Simulation naturally reduces the amount of assist and finally advanced will get me as close to riding a GP bike as I wil ever get. You really have to be careful with the throttle and the brakes ensuring you get everything done before the corner. You cant hit the gas too hard or it will high side you. Its absolutely brillaint and takes some serious skill to master it. I am still a long way off.
The graphics are starnge and I dont mean that in a bad way. They seem overall much much bettr but 07 seemed to look slightly better in some areas but im not really sure where. Its equaly as smooth if mot more so and the tracks have far more detail. The riders do too. You can actually see the riders eyes! Theres a nice walkabout feature when you pause tat lets you go 360 degrees round your bike whilst you race. The camera modes are brillaint. Youcan actually use the nose camera now without getting totally disorientated like on 07.
Its great to have all the new bikes and kits BUT, and this is my only gripe, they are not ctually new kits and bikes as the season has finished. WHY NOT DELAY THE GAME AND ACTUALLY BRING IT OUT IN MARCH TOTALLY UP TO DATE?????
There are loads of challenges with different riders that should take agaes to complete. You can build your own rider up, starting at the 125s. You have to choose his sponsrs and things like that and then race him to win ugrades.
The addition of 125 and 250 is a masterstroke as it finally makes it a proper Moto GP game. Again shame they are getting replaced by the 600!!!! I saw another review that bemoaned the lack of extreme. I understand but whats that actually go tto do with Moto Gp. This is finally a proper moto gp game that delivers on all counts. 9.5/10 (half a point off for coming out when the season has finsished)

Anyway, overall its amazing and at £30 is a total steal brand new. Cant believe it was not £40. Well done PLay! Free moto gp t shirt with the game too.

Not as good as you'd expect

Okay, this game has changed hands in two ways. It used to be made by Climax and published by THQ, but now its made by Milestone (of SBK-08 infamy) and is now published by Capcom. This has changed a lot of things for the worse. The steering suffers from the same awful control as SBK-08 and you can easily spin out while taking a gentle corner at 30mph. The graphics seem a bit more polish and shiny, but aren't necessarily any better. The new courses and 125 and 250 cc add some decent content, but the loss of Extreme mode can make the game very repetitive as there's now half the courses and bikes as before. If you're a big fan of the MotoGP series of games I'd recommend waiting for a demo before splashing out £30+ on this one. I've returned it and bought 07 again.

  A good fun game

I really enjoy playing this game because its a good fun game. Graphically its improved slightly on 07 but fun wise to me its just as good. Has it changed much since 07 well to be honest not really how can you change something like this with out making it a diiferent game. The main difference is you dont have the Extreme mode this year you have instead the 125 and 250 series. In some ways its good if your a beginner to get used to the game and build your self up ready for the big bikes. I liked the extreme mode as it gave you different tracks to master. What I do like about this game is that for some one that is totally new to the game they can still get the enjoyment by playing in arcade mode. Those more professional can enjoy the harder advanced mode and the mental simulation mode. I can just about manage advanced mode but hopefully with more practice will do simulation but certainly not with manual gears as well. If you enjoy racing and fancy something different to try then I would recommend this. The only downsides are the plane is missing from landing at East Midlands Airport on the Donnington track,( I know its not important but I liked that touch last year lol ) and there are not to many people online yet. Overall I really like the game, it looks good, plays well and above all its what a game should be, fun.

  Shocking

MotoGP 07 was a great game. Capcom came along and totally ruined it. The gameplay is awful, the graphics are okay but i think they looked better on the last game. And why oh why have they got rid of the multiplayer option? not everyone has Xbox Live and after you've done a few races by yourself...it gets pretty boring. So if you're thinking of buying this, I recommend you get the 07 version instead, it's much much better.
