Gears Of War (Classics)

This game deserves 4 stars simply becuse it put the 360 on the map. It is a bit of a Marmite game though in that some people (including myself) aren't huge fans.

For me the gameplay is a bit clunky and the main character is just an oafish thing that moves with all the grace of a hippo.

The other thing I don't like is that enemies take whole clips of ammo to kill and often even then don't die after that.

I did finish the game and found the story entertaining but it was met with more frustration than anything.

Due to my dislike of the game engine I found multiplayer just as bad. It seemed to have no real objective and (like Halo) to win it just required a skill of being able to run up to people and Melee.

It is a fantastic game, a brilliant concept and a true gem for the console but not for me.

You really have to give it a try though as you won't know if you like it until you play it.

By far the best game I've ever played its absolutely amazing I've only started playing it and can't wait to finish it so I can play Gears of War 2 & 3 :)

Amazing game. One of the reasons I bought a Slim. For those interested, this one is Multilanguage (spanish voices available).

After replaying Gears of War this year to recall the story so far before Gears of War 3 comes out, this game was a great way to start a video game series. The story is perfect, the characters are fun and the multiplayer was good for a game that came out in the first year of the Xbox 360's release. One complain though would be the AI for Dom in the story. He would always run into the enemies, making you having to get out of cover all the time to save him, that is why I give the first Gears of War game a 4/5.

I buy this game in awaiting for gears 3 and was blown away by the story the graphics the gameplay. if you want a cheap game that is fun and long lasting buy this game!!!

You have a chainsaw machinegun that chops people in two, what more do you need to know. Get it as it's well made, looks great and gives you alot to laugh at. Keeps you on your toes which is rare for a shooter and it's linear gameplay is not really that noticable as it's got no shortage of bad guys coming for you.

This is a great game and well worth picking up at the classics price. Plenty of shooting and killing, but also tricky enough to keep you interested.

this game is excellent, i believe it is one of the best games for xbox 360 every should play or get this game, it well worth the price i would pay much more for this game.

graphics are incredible story is interesting characters are brilliant and game play is perfect.

Good points: Very good story, almost excellent graphics, controls are responding very well, can be very addictive, good multiplayer value.

Bad points: The story is too short, you can complete this game between 9-12 hours which in my opinion is very short for this game. Not too big variety of guns.

Conclusion: Just buy it you will enjoy it
