  One of the best gamepads.

Very good value, and the majority of computer games are already preconfigured for this gamepad.

The only drawback is the D-Pad which is not very good.

  Brilliant.

Having it as both a replacement for my wireless controller and as a means of playing games on the PC, this is an excellent purchase.

Unlike the wireless controller, it isn't dependent on batteries (which can be a pain to recharge every X amount of hours) and isn't heavy to hold or move around with.

It is not tedious when used with the PC, as it automatically checks and dowloads any updates, so that it runs straight away and also without having to manually configure it every time. A brilliant alternative to the wireless controller supplied when you buy an xbox, and the better choice for playing through a PC (in place of the wireless reciever).

Excellent spare / friends over controller

| | See all TazLee's reviews (27)

This controller is almost identical to the wireless version with the only limitation being the 9 foot lead. However, not many people play over 9 feet from their 360. Its buttons, etc. are just a responsive as the wireless controller with no downgrade in quality.
This is the ideal cheaper controller for friends when they come over or if you run out of batteries and need to carry on.
I would recommend to anyone.

  Want to save energy??

| | See all Shortysmith's reviews (24)

Advantages of having this are that its really light, doesnt need any batteries and you can plug it in anywhere quick and simple.

If your comparing this to the wireless controller i suggest you get the wired. You dont need to keep putting more and more batteries in especially if you play games all the time. The only bad thing that i can think of is your parents are likely to walk in and catch their legs on the cable. Other than that its better than wireless

Wireless is incredibly heavy, You may have the privilege to walk anywhere in your house and it still works. But when it comes to gameplay holding a heavy controller is too much and you dont want something that can affect your gameplay.

If you take the wireless around your friends house then you have to press the little button on the xbox and controller at the same time. This takes time, effort and wastes energy. Especially if you want to reduce your CO2 emissions, then you dont want to buy this one.

So get the wired

  brilliant for pc/laptops

| | See all Haddock's reviews (12)

all new games on your pc/laptops will be able to interface with a wired xbox controller and for certain games have a controller makes life a lot easier, i got it to play HAWX and made my life easier than fidley pc controls.

And for pc and xbox a like, not only do use save money and power but not needed batteries etc but for those hardcore gamers out there the extra few milli seconds response time from wired controllers can make all the difference.

  Great for PC

Use one of these controllers to play Team Fortress 2 on PC as I can never get used to mouse and keyboard. And also for £18 this is great value for a very durable controller indeed.

  Better than Wireless

| | See all gamereviewer2's reviews (6)

I personally have 2 wireless controlers on my xbox and they have their advantages but they are so heavy and when for even 20 mins it gets annoying. The wired controller is much lighter and much easier to play with alright you have the wire and you can't go that far but the wire is quite long and they are much more pratical for hardcore gamers!!
Hope this helped!

  Great for the pc!

Works with xp 32/64 vista 32/64

Best controller out of all the games consoles at the mo nice and sturdy well built.

Only problem is i'm used to the weight of the wireless one from my 360 so this one feels awkward! Would be 5 stars if had a bit more weight to it.
