A question to owners of this item

| | See all GothGrace's reviews (4)

I was wondering if anyone who owns this can confirm wheather this hard drive can be used to support Dragon Age Origins: Awakening and the other DAO downloadable content as I have the Ultimate edition but I only have the 4GB console which is insufficient. Any reply would be appreciated. Thanks. I also apologose for asking a question in the review section, I have tried to find out through google but have yielded no useful results.

  Cheap simple product

The product does its job alright. And yes it is true that you only get 13gb due to microsoft taking that up. But i still have alot of room left. I have installed a number of game maps and expansion packs and that all i use it for.

If you download movies and music ect. Then i would reccomend getting a bigger hardrive as this may not suit your needs.

Overall the product is great for saves and more game content

Very worth it I just deleted all the things that are already on it and it stores lots, About 20 Demo games (maybe more depending on size) or the entire downloadable NFS carbon and Crackdown downloads easily.

  20GB my ****!

So we're told that this hard drive offers us 20GB worth of memory when really were only getting 13GB because all of the things Microsoft stuffs onto it before we get it, such as the game 'Hexic HD', which isn't all that great. Luckily there will be a 120GB hard drive available for purchase soon so I'd wait for that instead of buying this one; otherwise you'll run out of memory in no time if you have 'XBox live' and you're wanting to download a lot of content.

Expensive but worth it if you have a core console.

It is an expensive detachable hard-drive but it does include Hexic HD arcade game and some videos and music. And as long as you have it connected to Xbox Live, you can download demos, game trailers, arcade game trials and some music videos for free. And later in 2007 you will have access to the Xbox Live video marketplace where you can rent and download TV shows and movies for a reasonable price!
It's also useful for storing as many game saves as you need, as well as replays, gamerpics, themes etc.
You can also store your own music on the drive for use at any time when playing games or chatting to people and it also comes in handy if you are downloading purchased or free downloadable content such as new maps, new cars and new tracks for your games.

It looks good and it's light enough to be able to bring it around with you, perhaps to a friend's home.

But, if you are connected to Xbox Live and use it quite a lot, you'll probably find that the space on the hard disk is lost quite quickly so provided you have the money, you may find a better idea would be to buy an Xbox 360 Elite console which has a 120gb detachable drive or buy the hard-drive separately.
