Joytech XBox 360 Digital VGA Cable

Do not buy this cable, it is vastly inferior to the official VGA cable. The main reason is that, unlike the official cable, this third party rubbish is unshielded. In otherwords, it is prone to interference from devices all around including lights, other games consoles, the TV, the XBox 360 itself, stereo systems, speakers and any number of other things. I'm sure a few people using VGA with this cable have noticed 1 1/2 second blackouts whilst playing, well that's because it's not shielded.

The best bet is to just stick with the official cable, you don't get the same problems as it is shielded and is worth the extra money to avoid hassle in the future.

I have this cable and the quality is stunning, much better then component. My PC monitor has both inputs but this cable tops the official supplied component cable by a long shot.

Also added bonus, this cable actually comes with the optical audio lead needed to hook up to your digital audio decoder giving me true 5.1 sound. Also stunning.

I just can't fault this cable, I have tried the official cable on my monitor and it is exactly the same.

There is no difference in quality and this one is cheaper, granted though the official does come with the audio adapter for plugging into a stereo input. Which may be what you need.

The cable is not shielded so display is ghosted; you can't miss this when bright text is displayed especially at the dashboard. This causes detail loss on monitors with high resolutions. If you want to enjoy the graphics of an Xbox 360, then this cable is not for you.

I have a HD TV that will not give me 720p or 1080p so thought i would try this just to see what the difference is. I found the picture slightly better at a higher res but could not get sound to my TV with what was suplied? It comes with 2 phono plugs(for left and right speakers) but many HD TV's although they will have many of these they are all specific for each source. ie the phone sockets that provide the sound for the AV and the ypbpr can't be used to provide sound for the VGA input. The VGA sound in put is via a 3.5mm audio plug (mormal green coulred output from PC) so why this wasn't included with the vga lead istead of the strange digital cable that i've never seen used anywhere, i don't know. Had to buy a 2 phono - 3.5mm audio adaptor to recieve sound. Alot of hassle and not really that much difference for a TV.

For me this cable Enhanced everything I saw on my screen im so glad I purchased this. Makes my picture a lot clearer. Might depend on the TV you have, I must have been lucky.
