Review

Now it's time to see if you have the tactical nous to match your battlefield bravery. Have you got what it takes to lead an entire army into battle? Can you make the tough political decisions required to keep your rivals in check? Will you be able to unite all of ancient China through diplomatic cunning and military might?

Dynasty Warriors 6: Empires gives you the chance to answer all of these questions. For the first time ever in a Warriors game you get the opportunity to play as either a ruler or an officer. You can choose to be the all powerful decision maker who combines politics and tactics to achieve the ultimate goal or the warrior who carries out those orders and turns strategic planning into battlefield glory.

The officer mode on DW6 Empires its quite cool. Officer mode you get to do side missions join a force or revolt and become a ruler etc. However ruler mode could've been better, I wasn't a fan of the card thing thing that replaced consulting your officers, i'm still playing on it but so far theres no strategies an really not much of a challenge on ruler mode, you may aswell play DW5 it has the upper hand on some aspects. Also some of the weapons and characters in my opinion are quite lame and childlike, evidence for this is character Wei Yan. Overall for me this game is JUST "ok" its to nothing to talk about, or make you wanna play it non-stop. It's just "ok" however on a good note the graphics also the fighting has gotten better.

Customer rating: 4 out of 5 stars Not as great as it could be.

the game is good,an improvement on empires 5 but is confusing. You can now swap armies and defect whenever you like but can only control one person at a time again which i feel is a let down. When you get the hang of it though it is a great game, definetely one for fans of the series.dissapointed with the amount of characters they cut them down!
