just phone up the xbox helpdesk cause when my first 360 broke down i bought a new one straight away and asked microsoft how to transfer the data to the new harddisk. they send me the cable with instructions on how to do it. so just phone up the 360 helpdesk and they can help you out.

Very good value for the price if you are desperate for storage space this is the best option. Also everything you need to get onto xbox live is in the box. I would highly recommend this product the only thing that holds me back giving this a 5 star rating is the lack of data transfer cable. But this isn't really a problem as you can recover your gamer profile from xbox live.

I've been looking alot into this, and as far as i know, there isn't a cable. You'll need to fill out a cable application from microsoft and wait ages for it to come.

Another way is to either buy or borrow a 512 mb card, just transfer over your saves, then re-download everything else. I don't think you need to do that gamertag transfer thing, and you'll still be using the same console. I could be wrong though.

In my view this is an unbelievably good deal. You can sell your 20GB HHD for 30ish pounds, the 3 months LIVE is 15 pound, and the headset is a tenner, meaning you break even, and end up with 40 extra GB! Definitely worthwhile.

Can someone tell me if this comes with a transfer cable,as i already have a 20GB HD,and just need more space!!!!!

Hi all, am looking into this.. Does it come with sometihng what i can use toi transfer my gamer tag to the new hdd?

To liz: Yes this is all you need. The hard drive gives you loads of memory, the 3 months gives you 3 months to play games online. You connect the ethernet cable to the 360 and modem/router and the headset allows you to talk to other players. Usually the hard drive is £60 on its own so this is an awesome bargain!!!

Brought for 55 sold my 20g for 30 so i spent 25 and recieved more than the hardive great upgrade and almost got my money back by this seperatly and it will cost a lot of money

This really is worth every penny but if you're like me, wanting to upgrade from a 20gb to this give Xbox Support a phone. Ask if they can send you a data migration cable, it should be totally free of charge. Mines in the post at the moment. It will enable you to transfer all your data across and it should play like it was your original hard drive.
