Skate 2

The demo was a little restricting until I found the fence glitch which opened up a huge street area to explore, and it's fantastic!

The improvements are obviously great, but a little clunky. Getting off your board was an essential addition, but can be slow and frustrating. I was also a bit disappointed that some of the little annoying things from Skate 1 have not been sorted out.

For exampe, you still get that 'straight leg' animation when you ollie over something big. Wallrides still look stupid. Switch still doesn't look switch (unless you 180 first).

But saying that, just having a whole new city to skate is what's making this an essential purchase for me. Being able to move stuff around means endless opportunities, and this guarantees longer shelflife than Skate 1 (even though after hundreds of hours, I still find new ways to approach stuff in that!)

The new tricks are a bit pointless, and I don't see myself using any of them much. I'm not really a boneless/handplant/hippie jump kind of skateboarder!

The improved character customisation adds variety, but again, doesn't really bother me. It's funny seeing half my wardrobe in digital though I guess!

All in all, I can't see myself playing anything else for a long old time!

I had skate and could not wait to get my hands on this: Skate 2 and I find I'm quite disappointed with it, The game play is not as fluid as its predecessor I find that I slam a lot more and for no reason, there are good additions like the hippy hop and the boneless among others but other than that I can see no more good points, The getting off your board is the worst third person movement I have ever seen which is appalling when you think how much experience EA have. The graphics lag more than it's older sibling, The Joypad right stick commands fail to register so in stead of performing a trick you just end up ollieing or nollieing. I feel the game should have been tested more and all these issues dealt with, I recommend buying skate and stay away from this dog of a game

Skate 2 is brilliant, the story line is brilliant but it doesnt just end there online is so much fun with the different multiplayer game modes from own the spot where the person with the most points on a certain spot winds to meat something xd which is so much fun as the aim is to bust up your skater by jumping off heights. The grate thing about this game is you dont have to be into skating to enjoy the game as its so fun. It has a few glitches here and there especially online which people take advantage off but soon sure to be fixed. Brilliant a must buy 10/10

This game looked great after playing the demo...And it was. I played back on skate 1 a bit and it seemed so rigid compared to skate 2 it's just so smooth. And the online is great and really fun to mess about on with friends.

After playing the demo:
Straight off i liked the game, the graphics are amazing and a step up from the last one. After learning how to play again it gives you some tasks which tell you how to do some new stuff. Looks and feels good. However, i found that the off-board movement slow and annoying, takes forever to turn around. Also, the replay editor is a bit more confusing and harder to use that the one in skate 1. I probably will buy the game because all demos leave you wanting more and i'm sure it will deliver.

After playing the game i say it is awesome!!!!
All problems are nothing really and a great skate.
Huge new mega compound + x-games style park.
Defiantly worth buying.
