Review

It's been five long years since your mysterious disappearance from the skate scene, and much has changed in the wake of "the disaster-too-gnarly-to-be-named." The massive devastation left large swaths of San Vanelona completely destroyed. After the mass evacuation, one company, Mongocorp, won the bid to rebuild New San Vanelona and their zealous protection of their private property has put a damper on the once thriving skate population. Your mission is to rebuild your career and revive the New San Van skate scene. To help you get the job done, you'll have double the tricks and the new ability to get off your board to move stuff and create the sickest lines. There's even a crew of locals you can call on to help take care of business. skate 2 - it's time to take back the city... one spot at a time.

I Didnt play the Original Skate but heard the problems about it. Judging from what i heard, this game is a much better upgrade and is a really fun and addictive game. The Freeskate mode is great for people who just wanna skate and you can upload some of your replays onto the skate website for others to see. You can also design your own graphics on the website which you can apply to your decks, shirts and hats. The Trick range is large and the new multiplayer mode Hall Of Meat is a huge laugh.
Overall this game is highly addictive and alot of fun. 5/5 no doubt gaming gold!

i was a big fan of the original Skate, and i had been reading reviews about what was being added to make the second installment better, and that grabbed my attention straight away. walking of the board, moving stuff around etc.... which has all been done in previous tony hawk games.... but i just knew EA would do it a lot better. and they did.
this game is brilliant. you can just go back to it after ages, and it feels new again.... landing tricks sketchy, making it more realistic.. brilliant.
i recommend this game to anyone who is not only a skating fan, tony hawk fan etc.... but anyone who likes having fun, with friends, online or drunk.... its an all round great game. and the intro movie, such as the original, is awesome.

Customer rating: 4 out of 5 stars Decent update.

I love the unique style that skate. brought to the Next-gen consoles. However, Skate 2 also delivers that same innovative style with exciting extras such as the ability to step off the board and move objects around in whatever way you desire. If you wish to have a skating experience that lets you go further than games such as the Tony Hawks series, this is the title for you.
