What does the American Dream mean today? For Niko Bellic fresh off the boat from Europe, it is the hope he can escape his past. For his cousin, Roman, it is the vision that together they can find fortune in Liberty City, gateway to the land of opportunity. As they slip into debt and get dragged in a criminal underworld by a series of shysters, thieves and sociopaths, they discover that the reality is very different from the dream in a city that worships money and status, and is heaven for those who have them and a living nightmare for those who don't.

The old GTAs were great, reckless killing sprees, stupid rampages and hilarious slapstick. If that's what you're looking for... go and buy saints row 2. GTA 4 has a fantastic story with some of the best voicework on 360, the graphics and environment are also fantastic. The bleak recreation of New York city works wonderfully. Unfortuneately, the story lacks the addictive draw of the old games and often becomes a chore... sometimes you just want something ridiculous to happen... but it never does. GTA has grown up in a sense, but seems to have forgotten part of what made it so great in the first place. It takes itself too seriously and is often repetitive. San Andreas is available on the marketplace for a lot cheaper.

Customer rating: 4 out of 5 stars Addictive and fun...especially online

Yes this game is fun and addictive...especially online. the storyline is cool but can get repetitive and boring after a while but great plots and twists in the mix up brings out a great game...

Online is fun and good laugh especially flying up the empire state building with four of your mates and jumping off!! lol. great cinematics and FMV's.

4/5
