Get ready for a fictional account of the world's most popular video game hero... of the 1980s. Matt Hazard is coming out of retirement and making his next-gen "comeback" against all his old enemies in a hilarious parody of the last 25 years of gaming.

"It's Hazard Time!" The classic 80's videogame star, Matt Hazard, is back in Eat Lead: The Return of Matt Hazard. Eat Lead sees Matt Hazard get his chance to prove once and for all that he is the king of shooters when Wallace "Wally" Wellesley, new owner of mega game publisher Marathon Megasoft, gives Matt his comeback role starring in a new title for Xbox 360 and PS3.

In the world of Eat Lead, however, everything stops being a game and becomes reality when it is clear that Wally is using the new game to bring about Matt's death once and for all. With only the mysterious "QA" to help him, Matt must fight against zombies, cowboys, space marines and more to keep his game from being over.

With an original storyline by David Ellis, Eat Lead's unique blend of comedy and action will provide gamers with a shooter experience like no other with hardcore gunfights intersperced with wickedly smart humour.
  • Ingenious storyline and setting that's never been explored before in a videogame
  • Third-person shooter with polished next-gen graphics
  • Celebrity voice talent - Neil Patrick Harris (Doogie Howser, Harold & Kumar, How I Met Your Mother) and Will Arnett (Arrested Development, 30 Rock, Blades of Glory)
  • Hilarious script written by David Ellis (2008 Writers Guild of America Videogame Writing Award-Winner)
  • Unique visuals that will transform what's typically seen in videogames
  • Point-and-cover system - a new innovation in the cover gameplay mechanic

 A disappointing come back!

How anyone can think of giving this game 5 star rep is beyond me!

Okay the concept behind making a satire of the modern gaming era is unique and there are some funny scenes, but the gameplay is far inferior to many other games of the same genre.

The achievements are weak and thoughtless (one for pausing the game!) and the movement and control of the main character is at best awkward. The maps are restrictive and basic, while the graphics are average.

This game is litlle more then a novelty nostalgia ride, if you were not a fan of Mat Hazzard don't get it!

I hate giving bad feedback because I always get bad reviews as no doubt it offends someone who likes the game, but belive me, this game is not worth purchasing unless its down to some sort of budget sale price (although personally I wouldn't have it in my game collection for free!)

 ROFLMAO

Dont take this game seriously and you'll be highly entertained.
This brings back memories from the good old times.
It's not really the gameplay but the presentation and the mix of all the famous old games .
Yes the gameplay is boring and not very innovative. BUT !
You'll be rewarded with a brilliant parody of countless games from the videogame history. If you played them all starting from C64, Amiga, Sega, Nintendo, PS1 up to the recent games you'll end up peeing your pants. If you just started you most likely will not understand most of the gags.

 Excellent and fun

This brings back to gaming what it has missed for a while now. Simple good fun. The cover mechanic is stunning, far better than any I've seen before, yet simple and intuitive. The music and effects are larger than life, which fits with the storyline really well, as it is set within a videogame, kind of a 4th wall idea. There are some neat enemy ideas as well, some new and some we've seen before, but all of them are well executed. If I had to pick up on any improvements they could make for the sequel (I hope there is a sequel) it would be to make better use of the fire/ice weapon effects. This however does not diminish this game in any way. It is worth playing just for the Master Chef.

 SUPERB!!!
