  Just pure fun and voilence

This game is great, I don't follow XMen films or games and I got this cheap with not much expectations. The game turned out to be very brutal and violent which I didn't expect at all, your constantly ripping people limbs off and in every cut-scene people die. The game isn't a button masher either with many many combos and lunges and special ability's to use it doesn't get boring. Achievements are fairly easy and I would of been happy even if I paid alot more for this. The game has basic puzzles to overcome which is good for me as I am easily frustrated at them. The majority of the game is running and slicing and is probably one of the best games I've played this year (which is alot as Im smashing Gamerscore like crazy) 5/5

  Koo koo kachoo got screwed

This game brings a novel twist to your average Hack 'n' slash game, you start off with your basic slashes and upper cuts, then you unlock combos and whirlwind attacks etc ,you can target enemies, and with the push of a button, pounce on them you have two health bars one for the damage to your body, the other shows damage to your exposed adamantium skeleton ( I thought this was ment to be indesructable ? ) this happens in real time and is a nice touch It really seems a game to pass away idle time as it does get repetative but that doesn't stop it from being great fun !

  Better than the films!

I found this game extremely enjoyable, especially as the character is a lot more dark and verocious than he is displayed in the films (like he should be) and it is about time we got a decent portrayal of the actual Wolverine, rather than a watered-down, family-fun version. This game was clearly made for the comic fanboys rather than the movie-going public.
The graphics are pretty good, nothing amazing, but in a fast paced action game like this they are not really what is important, it's the action! Wolverine is extremely fluid in his controls and the combo fight style gives you a lot of freedom whilst in combat which means that you can dispatch enemies with a large variety of attacks, making it more fun to kill each enemy, rather than other similar games where just mashing the buttons and watching the character perform the same moves every time becomes extremely boring.
This, along with the decent storyline, diversity of different enemies and environments and cameos from a number of different comic-book favourites, makes for a quality gaming experience which will keep you entertained throughout.
I especially liked the health bar system, which has Wolverine's body losing more and more flesh and showing more and more skeleton and vital organs as your health deteriorates, then slowly healing again in that iconic Wolverine style, brilliant!!
My only critisism about the game is the boss battles, which can be glitchy and slightly repetative, but this is only a minor issue in an otherwise brilliant comic/film adaptation.
8 out of 10.

  Could have been much better

This is a fun game to play, you hack and slash all the way through it which i never got bored of.
Some really good looking graphics most of the time but they tend to go a bit sketchy now and again, the boss battles a glitchy which results in having to start again as the bosses sometimes dissapear and dont come back.
As for the gambit fight,it just dragged on and on for no reason as we never see him again after that,i would have preffered the deadpool fight to last longer too.
If the movie had the action scenes in this game it would have been epic,if you like x-men then you really should buy this game.
Also,i found it similar to the force unleashed in many ways, but no lightsabers here sorry.
I feel the game was rushed towards the end,if a little more time was put into this it would have been a classic,a shame.

  Fast and fun...but...

The action was fast paced and fun and very smooth, which was a pleasant surprise. The little movie sequences are well done and tie in nicely with the rest of the game and the overall graphics are really good. However, the voice acting is bad for most of the characters; for some reason Hugh Jackman has lost his Wolverine voice, so much so in fact that I was questioning the possibility that they had actually used a different actor for his voice and just put his name on the credits. Also, some of the major plot points in the game were quite different from those in the film, which is a petty gripe, but it annoyed me a little just the same.

Overall I loved this game. The achievements are easy, it's fun to play and there is definite replay value. I bought it for around 5 pounds and it was a great bargain at that.

One of the best Hack 'n' Slash games on the 360

After playing the Xbox Live demo, I knew this game was for me. The first level was enough to make me want to get it which was why I was very happy when my brother got me it for my birthday. The gameplay never lets down and there are A LOT of enemies in this game! After my first playthrough, I think I killed about 1350 enemies. There are only 5 missions in this game but they are all usually about 2 hours long. The boss fights are pretty cool but some are a real pain. (Dead Pool and Gambit gave me the most headaches) The game sticks to the movie for most parts but the developers added some of their own parts which are pretty awesome. The graphics are decent as well. The combat is sweet but sometimes can get repetitive when you are fighting large groups of enemies. This game is also very violent and I mean violent. When it says it's for 18 and over, it means it. The achievements are pretty easy with your usual mission progression, collectibles and cumulative on hand. Overall, this game is for Hack 'n' Slash fans. Definitely one of the best Hack 'n' Slash games on the 360 along with Dante's Inferno.

bearable. but not addictive or fun. wait until its in the bargain bin at your local game store, which shouldn't be long.

  Listen to the Majority

Like most people who have reviewed this game I found it to be fun but highly repetitive. Combat is good and the length of the game is fairly long (probably too long) but it doesn't offer much in the way of variety. Graphics are generally good but do look a bit dated in places.

Buy it cheap or rent it.

  Good combat, but very repetetive

This is the kind of game that throws a big 1st stage boss at you....then throws that same boss at you another 7 times through the game. Which...is what takes the shine off a bit. The core combat is very good (try the XBL demo), and it makes the game worth running through...it's also pretty long....but, for all the fun of the combat system, it is only just above average, due to a lot of repetition.
