Colin McRae: DiRT 2

I have just palyed the online demo for this and all I can say is OMG, it is awesome. The graphics are the best I've seen on any rally game, the way the car creates dust the sound of the gravel, the realistic plants that you can drive through, the way the water splashes onto the windscreen to name but a few. If the full game is as good as the demo then I'm buying it......Actually I'm buyin it anyway. The only reason I gave it four stars and not five is because I dont like the start menu, it takes ages to load and the silly way you access each option is frustrating....

I was sceptical about buying Dirt 2 when I saw the price at 40 pounds but when I saw it was 18 pounds, I thought I'd give it a try. All I can say is I wish I had bought it earlier for the full price as the game excels in every department. If you are taking note of this review and are a fan of racing games, all I can say is... BUY IT!

This is a classy title thats for sure, Codemasters does the late legend proud here.
The first thing that strikes you is the fab front end, the menu/trailer is very good and fits into the 'vibe' the game has very well, the options available are excellent too.
Graphically it really is up there as one of the best, if not the best racers on the xbox 360.
The cars/courses and FX like water splashes and lighting are stunning, a big step up from Grid and they move at a heck of a pace too.
Sound is also spot on with great fx for the sounds of the track rubble etc.
Gameplay shines best of all, the feeling of driving a heavy rally car, hurltling down the course on the edge of losing it is awesome and nerve shredding!!!
What i really liked was the variety, i know rally purists are moaning about the lack of rally events but for me it made it better, there are rally point to point courses, hillclimbs, races, head to heads, gate crasher modes etc,etc..............and thats before you hit the online.
The online is also awesome with a lively community and great racing...........just watch as there are loads of 'dirty' tactics out there, clean driving is out the window.
A fantastic game and a must buy!!!!!

i can make this short, because the games quality speaks for itself, the graphics amazing, the gameplay addictive, the feel of control fantastic. the feeling as the back end of your car spins & slams into a wall is something else, its too hard to put into words, but codies have done themselves, and colin mcrae, very proud. simply the best driving game i've played, & unlike 90% of others, one i'll be playing far far longer than 2 weeks.

got this game a couple of days early off play and what can i say its amazing! awesome graphics if u love any types of racing games this is the one for you and i love the way you can go against alot of famous rally drivers. its a 10 out of 10 for me.
