PES 2010 is the pinnacle of football games! After listening to the feedback from thousands of PES fans, PES 2010 benefits from a raft of new additions and changes, one of the most important of which is the inclusion of 360-degree control that further elevates the unrivalled realism of the title. The 360-degree control system allows players to spread the ball with ease, opening up new attacking and defensive possibilities.

Enhanced Realism: PES 2010 delivers a pace of game in tune with football played at the highest level. Triangulation of passes and use of off-the-ball runs are key to breaking down the opposition, forcing the player to use the strengths of their team mates to create scoring opportunities. Gone are 'soft' goals that can be used to break the deadlock - instead, only working the channels and the precision play expected of great players will make a difference.

Player Characteristics: Key skills of the many players have now been attributed named, allowing users to incorporate them into their play strategy. Cover star Torres, for instance, is renowned for his ability to receive a pass in the penalty area, and to drop the ball to a teammate in a good position for a goal-scoring opportunity.

Instant Tactical Switching: Each team has unique settings matching their real-life playing styles. Torres at Liverpool, for instance, will recreate the Merseyside club's sophisticated play and high numbers in attack, their pressing from midfield, strong defensive line, and width across the pitch. For the offense, the default settings support wide attacks and the aim to move in the back of the opponent's defense line. The user can summon the bar instantly during a match to adjust team tactics to enhance their defence or strengthen attacks.

Master League: The Master League now incorporates both the Champions League and Europa Leagues in its content, offering a complete season for players to enjoy. Success in the Master League will see players streamed into these competitions. The lure of European football can also be used to attract stronger players to your side, with transfer dealings and contracts now significantly more realistic in their use.

       Ratings mean something!

I'm not going to say this as a PES fan, but rather as someone who is in the Industry, were ratings DO MEAN something. First off, if you are a Fifa Fan, that's fine! But 1 star rating for a game as PES2010??? People, let's be reasonable! That's just trying to ruin the average out of spite! On to the game itself... I love 2010 and I can tell you that the Demo is a 70% finished build and if that doesn't tell much, let's just say that it's only at 75% that the magic happens for most games, so a Demo is (as a rule of thumb) not usually that good of an indicator of the final game.

Play both Demos and think about what you want in a football game: more simulation? more raw arcade fun? a good mix? This PES is REALLY balanced, AI WILL deliver, trust me!

In the end it's a question of personal taste, but don't hate a game for no reason (either PES or FIFA)! And most importantly always think about what YOU like more. After all, it's not the name that counts; it's the fun you get playing the game!

well well well, been playin fifa and pes for many years, as you all know pro ruled the footy genra up untill fifa 08, then fifa 09 kicked pes over the cross bar lol, but pes 10 has made some big improvements, the biggest one been the visuals (which isnt a good thing) it plays better with more fluidity, slightly bettter AI and more aware keepers, BUT, compared to fifa 10 pes 10 still feels far outdated, and is still far to easy to score im afraid, and fifa 10's 360 degree dribling feels light years ahead of pes 10's 8 way directional dribling, i hear alot of pes fans say they stick with it just cause its pes, but its simply NOT the best football game anymore, its like comparing burnout to forza (in terms of simulation) fifa stands alone, i urge pes fans to stop been stuck in there ways and forget brand value and listen to what all the fifa fans as well as the countless ex pes fans, and not to mention almost ALL of the worlds biggest game critics n mags are saying, and that is FIFA, for atleast another year is the far superior football experience.

I really can't understand the 5 star reviews? either people are crazy or they just know nothing about football.

This is not a good football game, graphics are pretty good but that is really it, i used to love PES a few years ago but the each year it gets worse, as someone else has said the game play is that of a football game made 10 years ago!!!

The movement of players is really needing a big helping of smoothness, the game just doesn't flow nicely at all.

Over the last few years i have hoped that the makers of PES would up there game and bring the game up to scratch but this year like the past 2 years i am very very disappointed.

I want a game which is realistic in the way players move around the pitch, realistic in the way passes are completed and the way the ball moves! but we get a game which is like what i played on the saga when i was 10!

Sorry i want to love PES again but looks like i will have wait another year or longer!

had game from launch playing on pro setting and let me tell u this game is a sim makes u think about everything formation ,players, tactics every goal is precious and very rewarding playing as england vs any small team eg united states easy ride no chance u have to earn everything u seem to learn a little more after every game so game will stay fresh for long time game looks brill and apart from commentery sounds are very good and really feels like big game night in champions league had 5 games online 3 with no lag and 2 with a little so overall pretty good not tried masterleague yet but from what ive read it seems very good so if like me u feel fifa is getting abit samey try this and playing on pro setting after a initial breaking in period u be rewarded with a tactical deep football sim ps i was a fifa man last year

Every bad review was written before the game was released!!

And the reason they are bad is because they are written by people who haevn't played the game.

Let me tell you this game is brilliant. From the first time you get to the front menu you can tell they have worked on it. Yes it's still a little arcadey at the front end but thats Konami. But licenced songs and the removal of silly sounds everytime you select an option is a massive plus.

Once you're into the game you really start to feel the difference. This game is difficult there is no question about it. You can't just get it down the wings and cross it in anymore you need to make space from quick passing and clever movement. If you try to just run past people you will end up getting done on the counter attack.

People will start to tell you that it's slow. It's not at all slow its just not as quick as FIFA and for me that's a good thing. I like FIFA don't get me wrong. But there idea of making it difficult is, instead of making the players harder to beat, making the referee an idiot and making it bordering on impossible to tackle anyone with speed.

Don't get me wrong, I hate it when people say about Footie games being realistic, because lets face it, there is no such thing as being a realistic game of footie where you controlling 11 men. No one does it so it can't be compared to realism.

But what I will say is that in terms of pace, decisions, scenarios in which differenty things can occur, and general ability of players, this is far closer to the real thing that FIFA.

With FIFA , the computer will move your defenders out of the way so it can score, no such thing on Evo. If you want to score a goal it has to be a nice set piece or a brilliant bit of play.

Score lines are a lot more closer to the real thing as well. You often get a 0-0 or games where there will be a goal in it. I beat my mate 8-6 on Fifa and neither of us are bad players.

The Master league is awesome. You can buy decent players from the start, obivously not the best, like you could in the really old ones, but you have to be certain you are going to be able to pay for them come the end of the season.

Youth teams, real money, player faces, simpler ranking for players, Champions League and Europa league incorporated, Sponsors, staff, training, proper calender date Transfer deadlines all these things make the Masterleague absolute quality and better than last year.

My mates complained that ooo"the players all run the same" and "On Fifa you can tell who it is just by the way they kick a ball". Frankly who cares, I dont want to know who's kicking the ball all I want to know is that the person im controlling will do what I tell them to do and will only be able to do things they could in real life.

You cant back heal 45 yards and you cant pass in the opposite direction with complete accuracy. You can't shrug off players twice your size aslong as you have pace. You don't get sent of for slide tackling people.

I'll put it this way, this game is for a challenge. If you want to a game that you will play for ages wondering how to master it this is it. If you want to know that everytime you play you will have to think of a new way to conquer it this is for you.

If you want to just pick a team with a couple of quick players and just run at people who for some unexplanable reason get out of your way or just do what they want to do when you want them defend by FIFA.

As always its FIFA for Show, Evo for the Pro....

Can't believe I just wrote that.
