NHL 10

This years version of the NHL franchise is by far the best. The new boardplay facility makes the game more realistic while allowing you to create more chances on net.

Another improvement is the first person fighting mode. The adrenaline rush you get from this is brilliant and will excite any hardcore hockey fans who realise that at some point or another fighting can benefit your team and give your team and advantage, which it does here.

The creators of NHL 10 have certainly outdone themselves this year. I certainly can't wait for September 18th for this to come out.

Trust me, buy this game, it will blow your mind.

Played the demo yesterday. really looking forward to it coming out.....

I found this years update a complete ripoff. All the new stuff just irritates me and makes the game s-l-o-w.

1) The new "fun after the whistle" part is the most annoying - 15 minute game now takes 20-25 minutes online, not fun if you're, say, an adult, for example, and just want to have a quick game.

2) The new fighting engine? The game may put you in a fight automatically even if you don't want to, which is not fun either.

3) You now have to wait e-v-e-n l-o-n-g-e-r in a live match for your opponent to press the da*n button. You even have to look at the "waiting for opponent" message after the match is over!

4) Puck physics are even worse than in '09. Pucks go trough sticks, players and pretty much anything. Seems like they wanted to add new animations and forgot to add collision checks to their fancy polygons.

5) Strategies are still bad - especially the power play is a joke.

6) Players STILL go in to a coma after missing a pass - and yes - they'll still try to take a shot that went by about 5 seconds ago.

Buy this if you missed '09 or really want the fighting functionality, otherwise this is just a NHL 09 with this years team updates.

i purchased this game about a week ago and since then i havn't put it down.
now im not the biggest ice hocky fan infact i don't even know the rules :) but that didnt stop me from playing it with my friends and having a laugh.The fights are hard at first but they are also good fun and you can have a grate time with your mates.

The be a pro mode is a bit hard to get to grips with but you soon pick it up and get the hang of it and feel as if you are part of the team ... this is by far the best sports game on xbox so it must be a "must buy" for ice hocky fans :) over all its a superb game :)

i played nhl 09 for a year and loved it bar the glitch goals and other types of cheating but it was still a amazing game.
nhl 10,iv had for a day and its adorable and improves on 09 in the ways i hoped.
overall it feels like a hockey sim more than ever!!!!!
