Growing Up Again

Excellent story, though a bit confusing for people like me who were born at the wrong time to understand the events happening (Lady Di, etc). Still a really great read, and very funny!

Couldn't wait to get this book after reading the first one- eagerly awaited arrival and I was not disappointed! Really nicely written, all teenagers will be able to empathize with Megan and her situation- a good teaching read.
My So-called Life
Really nicely written, the characters are easy to relate to as a teen. Thoroughly enjoyable

The final installment of the Harry Potter books certainly delivers! By the fifth book, I felt that Rowling was slipping, but she certainly came out with a winner this time! Excellent.

This was the first of Alexander McCall Smith's books I read, but you can still understand the story- chapters are written like short stories, so easy to follow. The humour is beautifully used to create excellent characters and brilliant stories about happenings- some ordinary, some extraordinary! - and the characters will stay with you for a long time.
This wasn't my favourite of Picoult's books, but nevertheless provided an interesting story about the two families torn apart by a death. A good read.

I was apprehensive at first about this book, as it seemed to be on a slightly morbid topic, but as soon as I started reading I was hooked! It's a brilliant story about Liz who dies aged 15 and moves on to Elsewhere, along with a host of other characters who all have equally interesting stories. After hearing it called "the new The Lovely Bones, I read that as well, but personally found Elsewhere a much better story, as life (or death!) goes on for Liz, rather than being at a standstill as it was for Susie.A brilliant read which explores the topic of a possible afterlife in a lighthearted and even believable manner- excellent for anyone. I read it aged 15 then lent it to my mother, and we both really enjoyed it.

A truly excellent book- dynamic characters and a great storyline. If you are a fan of Jodi Picoult's books, you should definitely read this.
