AverMedia Game Capture HD C281 (PS3/XB360/Wii)
2 New from
The AVerMedia game capture HD records at a maximum definition of 1080i which is very good but what makes this device stand out from the crowd and makes it a good competitor for the Hauppauge HD PVR is that it records footage without it being connected to a PC and instead can record to an internal hard drive that you can install or it can record to an external USB hard drive or even just something as small as USB flash drive, the only downfall of this device is that their is no option to attach the device to a PC so there is no possibility for live streaming with this device. Overall this is a great bit of kit for anyone looking to record their game footage and it is very small and lightweight so it is portable and would be good to use to record LAN parties. 4/5 due to the lack of connect to PC option but otherwise a great device.

I saw this device while browsing USB drives I needed to store work onto and I saw this 32GB drive but for 15 pounds! I thought this cannot be true and I had a look only to see glowing reviews of this device so I promptly purchased the device and I am very pleased to report it is an amazing device especially with the price and it works perfectly. People have complained however that there is no light that flashes when the device is inserted to the computer but when I first inserted the device a light did flash so maybe the person who said this it could be that their light was broken, another complaint was that there was no keyring loop for this device and although this is a slight (and very slight) problem this should not make you want to spend 20 pounds extra for a 32GB stick with a keyring loop. Overall an amazingly cheap good quality product very pleased with it. 5/5
