  1.  Brilliant series, terrible packaging

    Posted:

The series itself is brilliant, but it was let down by terrible packaging. 14 discs in the set but only 2 of the cases had enough slots for the discs. The remaining discs were just crammed into cheap plastic sleeves and crammed in to a standard case. What was that all about??

  2.  The Long Walk (The Way Back Film Tie In)

I originally read this book 30 years ago as a kid in Cyprus, I still have the paperback and have since bought a 1st edition 1956 copy. It made that much of an impression on me. It may not be entirely accurate, (See BBC article), but it is a brilliant read. Watch the film, read the book, you wont be dissapointed.

  3.  Breathtaking

The latest Michael Wood presentation is a visual and aural gourmet feast. If only history was like this when I was at school. It should be compulsory viewing. I have just watched all six chapters back to back and feel enriched with knowledge and understanding.
    Fabulous-a must buy.

  4.  Top Gun? Ha! You ain't seen nothing yet.....................

Having previously read Vulcan 607, I started reading this book with high hopes. I was not dissapointed-Rowland White carries on where he left off, you are "strapped in" with the ships crew and Rowland White does not let you go until the final engine winds down. Quite simply awsome.

  5.  Read the prologue and your doomed! You will be hooked......

Turn off the T.V. put the cat out and start reading-I swear within an hour you will smell the aviation fuel and in six hours you will have drag yourself away for a break, knowing you wont be getting any sleep tonight. You are with these boys every step of the way. What an awsome narrative.

  6.  Snug as a bug in a rug!

Top item, fits perfectly, will mould in time, just as new shoes do. the clip is superbly designed and can be removed completely just leaving the case, with no bulky plastic fitting sticking out. The way the case adapts to the slide phone is a revelation. Excellent!

  7.  Jaw Droppingly Good!

Quite simply the best film I have seen in years, missed it at cinema, which I regret. The cinematography is awsome. If I could give it six out of five I would!!

  8.  Way over rated.

Bought this for my wife for Xmas, didn't see it at the cinema. What was all the hype about? This is a woeful film, the acting was wooden, storyline wafer thin and the singing was truely awful. Meryl Streep was o.k but Peirce Brosnan, bone crunchingly bad. The only thing holding this tapestry together is the ABBA lyrics. Thank God I didn't pay full price for it.

  9.  Unputdownable!

This is a cracking book. A unique insight as to the goings on at the birth of some of Britains best comedy and the fight to air it uncensored. It is funny, sometimes moving, showing the very "human" side to one of Britains best comedian and travel writers, his relationship with the rest of his python team is a revelation. I was digging out the python stuff to view again, in a totally new light. Unputdownable.
