3 Shorts should be clearer

These shorts I ordered for my Boyfriend and when they arrived unfortunatley didnt fit. I ordered a medium which is usally 32-34 but they said 30... so i'm guessing a large is 32? I think it should be made clearer rather than just s,m,l
Great quality though and great shorts!
