  1.  THE BEST ALICE ALBUM FOR A DECADE. WELCOME TO HIS NIGHTMARE

    Posted:

i received the Classic Rock limited edition, which is an even better package than the deluxe.
continuing on from the original Nigtmare album, W2MN is everything i dreamed of and wanted. everything i love about Alice is here - the outragious lyrics, the amazing music and the continuing Nightmare story.
each song is incredible and fitting to the Nightmare story. i can't fault one song.
from the opening piano intro, revisiting Steven and The Awakening from the original Nightmare album, this continues throughout this cd paying homage to the original.
Rob Zombie as narrator is a great choice and the collaborations are inspired, featuring classic Cooper writers such as Desmond Child, Bob Ezrin and Dick Wagner to the original band writing and recording together to the inclusion of Ke$ha.
this fan pack includes an incredible Classic Rock Cooper magazine, posters, halloween mask and badge as well as the cd including bonus tracks.
i haven't been so excited by an Alice album in years.
    it deserves to be heard.
    CLASSIC COOPER.

  2.  VERY ENJOYABLE FAMILY MOVIE

    Posted:

I really enjoyed Mr Popper's Penguins.
While not the best or most outragious of Jim Carey's movies it's a film the whole family can enjoy.
Coming up to Christmas it just adds to the occassion and feels like a real Christmas feel good movie.
I recommend it to one and all.

  3.  THE FINALE WE'VE ALL BEEN PRAYING FOR.... AND DREADING

    Posted:

I can't believe the Harry Potter films and books have come to an end.
They seem to have been a constant part of my life.
If it is the end !!!, then what a way to end it.
The films have been a little hit and miss, but i think Deathly Hallows part 1 and 2 are amongst the best of the movies.
Deathly Hallows part 2 is awsome. Leading on from Voldermort taking the elder wand from Dumbledore's grave, the burying of Dobby from the first instalment, the first several minutes gently ease you into the latest movie. From then on in it's action, romance, action, death, explosions and action.
Several key charcters die in this movie and you barely have time to blink. honestly, so much happens they could have added several more hours and just made the story and action even better ( maybe they will).
I can't pick out a favourite scene, the whole movie is just inspiring and i can't wait to see it again on dvd. Roll on December.

  4.  Nicolas Cage back on form ( he never lost it in my eyes)

As many other reviewers have said, Drive Angry is a really enjoyable film.
I love Nicolas Cage's films and Amber Heard is great viewing, and not just the eye candy kind, her character really adds to and moves the story along.
I strongly recommend watching the movie yourself and not going by film critics ( who hate everything).
it's a two hour JOY RIDE.

  5.  GOOD, ENJOYABLE, FUN TV SERIES

    Posted:

Simon Baker is amazing as Patrick Jane.
Less i say the better really. if you're a fan of the series you know all about it, if you haven't watched it yet, i recommend you do (starting with series 1). you wont be disappointed.
im ecstatic the fourth series is now on tv.

  6.  not the greatest hits i was looking for

    Posted:

this is probably the best Alice hits cd out there, but it's far from the finished article.
most of the classsics are here. schools out, billion dollar babies, i never cry, poison etc but so many great songs (and singles aren't included), such as no more love at your convenience, he's back, freedom and anything after hey stoopid.
for someone trying Alice for the first time it's a good starting point, but personally i'm still waiting for the "definitive collection" from Alice's entire career and catalogue.

  7.  best of the movies

This film is much better than the last two. Episode 1 was rubbish, episode 11 was a good decent movie but this one actually feels like star wars, more like the original trilogy. The beginning of the movie is spectuclar with the space battle, lightsaber duel with Count Dooku and fighting droids. The action scences are all really good the beginning and the end are really good. The characters are splendid and it is the darkest star wars movie with Anakin finally turning to the dark side. Not as good as the originals but still a brilliant movie to watch.
