  1.  Had enough of it now

I've been a supporter of xboxes since launch but since my lads have just returned their ninth - yes NINTH - xbox 360 I bought a ps3 which is far superior. The rrod is still there!! My lad sent his xbox 360 away for this reason and my brother has just returned his. Both bought at christmas and both lasted 3 months. Shoddy. RIP XBox

  2.  Fantastic machine!!

I'm not a gamer as such and I'm well into my forties now but I had to put a comment here. My two lads had xbox 360s each. Between them they have gone through nine of them as they keep breaking down. Now they have ps3s. I should have bought this before. The xbox is a toy in comparision. The ps3 is quiet and solid in build. The graphics and sound are incredible. Those wireless controllers are brilliant and you don't need to buy expensive add ons like the xbox. It's all there straight out of the box.
If you are in the market to buy a console I would tell you to get this. X box live isn't everything when compared to peace of mind. It tells me something when the lads friends are coming round more often now and say straight out that they want to play on the ps3. Highly recommended!!

  3.  Great fun but......

I got this for xmas and it is a good laugh- especially after a couple of beers.
The game is simple to use. Choose a song from the list and grab a mike. The video then plays and the lyrics appear at the bottom of the screen. Above this there are bars appearing across the screen which represent the pitch you have to sing at. No easy task! That's basically it. What you need to be aware of is this IS NOT karaoke. In karaoke the vocal is absent. In Singstar the original vocal remains and you sing along with the original artist. Most of my friends didn't mind this but a couple thought the whole thing became pointless. It is just the same as if you sang along with the radio I guess but that's missing the point. It's about getting friends together and having a good laugh. You can download extra tracks from the online store although there are not that many at present to choose from. If you have the eyetoy then it's even more fun!! It's a good laugh but if you are die hard karaoke fan then this may not be what you want.
