  1.  Amazing movie like show. Shame about the surround sound.

Fantastic picture and story. Sound is good but the surround sound is very lacking with the rear speakers used almost exclusively for the music score. For this it looses one star for lack of effort. For a Blu-ray purchase I expect the best. Do buy Blu for the picture though as the animation is almost movie budget quality and each half series improves over the previous. Seeing the 3rd season the animation just gets better and better. A must buy for any star wars fan adult or child alike either will enjoy this show.

  2.  Fellowship could look better.

I've owned this Blu-ray since last summer but I just got my extended edition Blu-ray, and after watching Fellowship on it, I can safely say the transfer on this edition is terrible! Colours look flat, skin colour looks grey and the whole picture suffers from noise throughout. The other two films look and soud great and are demo quality, but if you want a real HD transfer of FOTR splash out the extra cash for the Extended edition.
I promise. You won't regret it!

  3.  Fellowship finally looks outstanding!

I agree with some of the negative feedback. Such as the DVD quality extras these should be in HD. Also a 50GB Blu-ray can and should hold each individual film and still not sacifice quality. On contrast though this is the best quality you will get these films! Fellowship has finally gotten the transfer it deserves and is miles better than the Theatrical Blu-ray release, which i also own. It is actually on par with Towers and ROTK the colours stand out and the detail is breathtaking.
If you are debating wether to save some money on the theatrical edition DON'T DO IT! Fellowship looks and sounds its best on this edition.
    A must buy!
