Fantastic, probably the best of all the Halo's

I'm an ageing and seasoned gamer who has been playing games since the old Atari's.

Ive played ALL the Halo's since owning my original Xbox (pre 360) and Halo 4 is probably the best of the lot,

The campaign is crisp, expansive and pulls you into the character and his devotion to Cortana.

To get the best out of the game pick the hardest level that you can comfortable manage, some reviews say that they completed the game in 3 Hours, well they obviously went through on an easier level than their capability which will only shorten your enjoyment of the game. Take it slowly and kill every enemy on each level thereby giving you the satisfaction of knowing you are beaten the bad boys. Rushing through to the exit just proves you are a good runner and not a good player.
The choice of weapons is adequate without giving you a confusion of choices and the variety of vehicles and experiences are bound to bring a smile to your face.

I'm no expert when it comes to multi-player because at the end of the day the principals of these game are basically all the same kill, die, kill, die...... although I look forward to playing the co-op missions with my son.

For me, I am a campaign lover and this game ticks all the boxes and I can honestly say that this is one of the best campaign shooters I have played in a long time and I loved it, bring on Halo 5.

  2.  Awesome and its several years old!!!!

Half Life is definately the bench mark for all games to compete with, in addition to the shooter aspect you have to use your brain to work out how to overcome obstacles. Having played Half life 1 on the PC and eagerly waiting the years in between each episode I am now desperate for news on episode three although Valve have been incredibly tight lipped on anything about it. No doubt it will lay down the gauntlet when it finally arrives.
Im simply buying this copy as a back-up for my older version and at 9.99 delivered is the bargain of the century.

  3.  Ignore the whingers

I am a 55 year old adolescent lover of shooters with a 16 year old son who is following on in the same vein. Ive played virtually every shooter since the early days on the PC and progressing to the xbox and then 360 (long gone are the pc upgrades and patches etc etc).
This game has a strong plot that makes you want to kill the bad guys. Both me (the old git) and my son thoroughly enjoyed this game even though it was a bit short. I cant give it a 5 star as that is reserved for the likes of Half Life.
