  1.  Awesome platformer for people of all ages

I've always been a sucker for the concept of taking something childish and making it more bleak and even sinister. Well, the concept here is a bit milder but you know what I mean.

This game is simply fun. I won't go to details because there are other reviews and most of you probably know the idea behind this game. I'm just enjoying the game, even if it does repeat the same tasks over and over again. But there is always a prize at the end so it doesn't get old easily. Watch some videos of the game and if it seems interesting to you it probably won't disappoint you if you buy it.

  2.  Fun and frustrating

This game has the classic Resident Evil feel to it. It still has the horror element the series has started to lose. As a survival horror fan I can enjoy even a game that was released almost ten years ago like Resident Evil Zero.

This game has some frustrating elements. The notorious "tank" controls are there. I have no problem with the classic controls, until I meet some faster enemies. You have absolutely no way to defend yourself except standing still and hoping you can shoot the enemy to death before it kills you. You can also try to run pass the enemy but this is also likely to fail since the hallways are narrow and the fixed cameras make navigating a bit harder. The playable characters are like robots and there are no side steps, dodge or anything like that. So you are going to die. A lot. Crazy zombie chimps that run on walls will kill you. Weird swamp monsters with long leech-like hands will kill you. Even regular zombies will kill you. And why? Because you stand still and shoot. Why? Because anything else is pretty much out of question. That is almost enough to make this game horrible.

Also the fact that you are constantly forced to leave stuff behind because you can only carry 6 items per character doesn't help to make the game enjoyable. It's really annoying. You can see the stuff on the map, but it's not nice to spend 10-minutes to pursue some left-behind item that you would of course carry with you. If you could.

It is still Resident Evil and the plot is there, the horror is there and the fun is also there. Recommended for RE fans that aren't afraid of outdated graphics and few (quite big) flaws.

  3.  Fun on-rails shooting with an awesome b-movie twist

I play this with Nyko Perfect shot gun without the nunchuk and it rules. I actually like this better than Dead Space: Extraction.

It has the same The House Of The Dead feel from the 90's arcades but also something else. Awesome, enjoyable game. Cutscenes suck and it's quite easy but those are the only downsides I can come up with.

  4.  High hopes came crushing down...

I thought this would be something I would enjoy with the Tarantino inspired action and naughty humor. Well, I didn't. Here's why.

Firstly, I was expecting a lot of spraying blood. Well, PAL version didn't have any. And I mean ANY. I also expected a wise and intuitive fighting system, but it turned out to be quite one-dimensional hack'n'slash instead.

The graphics. While some Wii games compensate the low resolution with unique graphics style in fashionable way (MadWorld), this game didn't. The style per se is quite enjoyable, it's just the low resolution that makes it horrible to look at (at least with component cable). The game just didn't seem very finished when it comes to graphics.

The voice acting was ok, except the main hero was awful. Also the crude humor gets old really fast, the story was stupid and almost non-existent. Most of the minigames were awkward and not fun at all.

Not that good of a game. The second one is way better and this time I got it with blood, but even the second part is three stars tops. The most overrated series on Wii. Heck, maybe one of the most overrated series on all platforms.
