It's difficult to summarise how this game made me feel in only one review. There were happy times, sad times and scary times.
Throughout the game you'll find yourself on an emotional roller coaster -I was even slightly in tears at one point as there are so many twists and turns it's impossible to tell what's coming next and the storyline is so well written that you develop an amazing attachment to the characters.
Along this huge and epic adventure you'll be crafting and upgrading weapons, gathering supplies for survival and meeting some nice, and some not so nice characters along the way -as well as all the infected. What's great about them though is that they're not poorly placed, they'll only turn up in the darkest corners of the environment, and when you're alone with them their AI and terrifying sounds really keep you on the edge of your seat, not to mention your own gruesome death you get to witness if caught by them.
I've got so much more to say, but don't think I can put how happy I am with this game into words- truly awe-inspiring, most films don't have storylines and characters as well-designed as this.
As with the Uncharted series, once again Naughty Dog has given us pure genius.
