  1.  Hopefully the start of a quality franchise.....

Grossly underated scifi romp that has all the classic adventure story requirements, including the whole rescue the princess scenario. Awesome SFX and cinematography in this foreunner to more modern classics such as Star Wars.

  3.  Not so masterful but worth a peek.

I liked this series don't get me wrong but there is a lot of room for improvement. I didn't like the idea of Devil Z or the fact that human controlled transectors are so much more powerful than the actual transformers. Also, why do the Leaders in the Takara series just casually pass on the leadership from one character to another? Like Rodimus to Fortress in Headmasters, Steelhawk does with Ginrai and becomes little more than a spectator. Still, King Posiedon is cool and Ginrai is awesome. Overlord is menacing and becomes more honourable towards the end. Worth a watch.

  4.  Not as Bad On Second viewing

Although I still regard this as the weakest of the classic Davros stories my opinion has changed on second viewing. After watching more Colin Baker stories he's actually grown on me. I've paid more attention to the story this time round and enjoyed it more. Well worth a watch but don't just take my opinion or anybody else's. Judge for yourself.

  5.  The Real McCoy

McCoy is delightfully dark in his last season as the Doctor. It's a shame the series was cancelled because the writer's back in 1989 were going in the same direction as the current series. You know, giving the companions more of a spotlight and adding some mystery to the Doctor? All that aside this is a good old fashioned haunted house story with an alien twist. Enjoy.

  6.  Mmmmmm....Somethings missing methinks!

It has everthing I can think of: half decent story, solid acting and good sets and costume. But theres is something missing. I can't bring myself to honestly say that I like this one. It's as if you're waiting for some alien menace to be revealed as the cause of the trouble but it never happens.

  7.  Why did the BBC cancel with stories like this????

What a story. Creeped me out as a kid. Jumped out my skin at one part.....as a kid, not now. Anyway this is a superb take on vampire lore and looks brilliant. the Haemavores look excellent. Only bad part is when you see them shambling out of the water at one part then coming out from behind grave stones in the next part. Verrrry Cheesy!

  8.  Prolific Pertwee

My favourite Doctor as a kid! This ones quite dark and edgy. You almost think the Doctor isn't going to make it. My only gripe is why the infected people turn into, well...werewolves? The pre-wolf stage was perfectly fine and reminded me of Romero's "Dawn of the Dead".

  9.  Another Baker Classic

This one has it all! Great acting, story and sets that are gorgeously gothic. The director really knows his stuff for this one. The giant rat that could've been so wrong actually stands out in a "you can't really see it so let your imagination fill in the gaps" kind of way. Quality stuff.

Great story line but it does tend to drag in places. Watch it with the CGI effects as the orignals really don't do it any justice.
