Green Day - CD

I absolutely love this album. I have constantly listened to it since I bought it, and I can't remember the last time I purchased a new album where I loved every single song. But I do on this one. I have always really liked Green Day, and this is by far for me personally one of their best albums. (Possibly the best.)
All the songs are a highlight, my favourite though has to be Carpe Diem.
Highly recommend this album to past and present Green Day fans, and anyone wanting a decent rock album.

In my opinion I do not think this is a 'groundbreaking' film by any means. I actually didn't even like the first half an hour, I felt like I had seen it all before and I didn't particulary like any of the characters. I was really expecting more due to the high praise, (and I generally like Joss Whedon's work) and I'm not normally swayed by the critics and magazines, but everywhere this seemed to recieving 5 stars and a lot of hype. So I had to see for myself.
Overall, slightly disappointed, but saying that, after that initial first half an hour, the film started to improve and I found it started to hold my attention. It did turn out to be different in a few ways to the standard film of these genres, and there's some parts where you find yourself saying 'This is pretty insane!' but simply because it seems to start coming out of nowhere and there's so much going on toward the end. It's entertaining I will give it that, and I would probably watch it again but I personally don't think there was anything scary about it and I don't fully understand why it recieved so much hype. But it's good fun and I think a lot of horror film fans will enjoy it.

I didn't really have too many expectations of this film, as I didn't know too much about it beforehand. But I can honestly say I was pulled in the moment it started. I really felt that as the film progressed, it got even more powerful and emotional. I wouldn't want to give too much away, but don't expect a high paced action film, be prepared to really listen and feel the concept of the film, which will really help make this a worthwhile viewing experience. I thought all the leading actors, especially Michael Shannon, were absolutely brilliant and were perfect for the roles. Highly recommend.
Apocalyptic Love (CD & DVD)

I think this is a really great rock album. I agree with all of the other reviews, Myles Kennedy has such an amazing voice and him and Slash paired together have made this album really special. My personal top tracks are Anastasia, Far And Away, Standing in the Sun, One Last Thrill, and the title track, Apocalyptic Love.
I think it should be in every rock fan's collection. Really, really good.

I absolutely love this book. It truly is a beautifully written story, with characters that are so lovable. This is one of the best books that I have ever ever read, it is truly heartfelt. I cried many times. I really would recommend it, anyone that likes an emotional, rewarding book, this is definately one for you.
Wonderful. I would read it again and again.

I watched this film without high expectations, as I didn't really know too much about it. I was instantly hooked throughout the whole film. I thought it was a very refreshing story, and one of Ryan Gosling's best films to date. It is quite dark and even though I can understand why some viewers may find it a bit slow in places, I thought these scenes added a new dimension to the film.
Good acting, refreshing story, really enjoyable, and much, much better than I would have expected. I would highly recommend Drive.
