  1.  same old story

I bought this book believing the hype of new and 'shocking revelations'. Totally disappointed. There was nothing new in the book, and the 'revelations' were little more than a con.

  2.  Powerful

This latest thriller from Millar, The Dark Place, is a very dark piece of work. It features private investigator, Karl Kane, first introduced in the amazing Bloodstorm. This time it gets personal, when a serial killed abducts Kane's daughter, and all hell breaks out. Guaranteed to keep you watching over your should, late at night. Loved it.

  3.  Powerful True Story

Powerful true story of the biggest heist in American history, soon to be a Warner Brothers movie. From the very first page to the last, you'll turn page after page.

  4.  Powerful

This is an unputdownable novel, from the very first page to the very last sentence. Dark and heart-stopping action throughout. Bloodstorm is the first in a series of books featuring PI Karl Kane. For me, Kane has to be one of the most original, anti-heroes of all times, fighting for the little guy and exposing the corruptions of the powers that be. The writing is powerful, and just like Kane, totally original. You will not be disappointed in Bloodstorm. I can't wait for the follow up...

  5.  a must-have collection at a fantastic price

Where can one start? This has to be the ultimate Calvin and Hobbes! beautifully rendered. Each page a gem. Buy it for some one you love. Better still, buy it for yourself

  6.  Great Thriller from a Killer Writer

This is a well-paced thriller with all the normal dark corners favoured by connolly. His many fans will be pleased by the hard hitting language used in many of the chapters.

  7.  good read

This is a well thought out book, though at times it is a bit hard pressed to be clear in a few chapters. Having said that, it is still worth buying, if only to add to your collection.

  8.  Terrific, fast-paced thriller.

This is mccarthy at his best. It is easily his most accessible novel to date. Each page is a wonder of words that never fail to mesmerise. When the bounty hunter comes to the pages, you realise you are witnessing the creation of one of the most original bad guys since HANNIBAL LECTUR. You will not forget this most memorable of books.
