Man Of The Year (2006)

It's best to think of this film as a drama with witty dialogue, rather than a laugh-out-loud comedy - more Good Morning Vietnam than Mrs Doubtfire. This is a very intelligent film which you totally appreciate if, like me, you are fed up of politicians who seem to have forgotten why they are there. I wish I could vote for Tom Dobbs.

I first heard Ben Howard from watching the Danny MacAskill Industrial Revolutions video on YouTube. Folky guitar and trials bikes shouldn't go together but they really do. If you want to listen to a track watch that video on YouTube because, to be honest, I find the actual music video a bit off-putting. I bought the album for "The Wolves", and didn't think I'd like anything as much as that track, but the whole album is just fantastic, with "Only Love" and "Old Pine" as highlights for me.

A bloomin' marvellous album from a truly awesome film. Black Sheep and Threshold are my faves, but if you have seen the film you'll know every tune rocks! I cannot wait for the blu-ray but in the meantime I'm going to play this album until the silver stuff gets lasered away and stuff.

I love this show, and only found out it had been cancelled when my Sky Plus didn't have the next week on it... gutted. However, this is still worth buying as the episodes are brilliantly written and acted, and it's fantastic to see Christian Slater at his wonderful best again. It might also be worth pointing out that Taylor Lautner (Jacob in Twilight) plays Henry's son! How on earth did this get cancelled?! First Firefly, now this. Not fair.
Role Models (With Exclusive 'Booby Watcher' Comic)

I was dragged in to see this film at the cinema and expected to sit glaring at my friend for the whole time for forcing me to watch infantile rubbish, but this film is fantastic! It's hilarious, brilliantly acted and has far more depth than could be expected from seeing the trailer, which didn't even hint at the fantasy role-playing theme which drives the story and provides most of the laughs (watch out for the centaur, I nearly choked on my nachos). I've probably just put off the film's target audience with this review, but I don't want people to miss out because they think it's just a daft gross-out comedy - it's genius!

I've had this game for at least two years and still play it near enough every day. There is so much choice that you can have a new favourite every week. For example, I have finally worked out Koi-Koi, a Japanese card game, which has turned out to be brilliant (I had avoided it in favour of games I already knew how to play) and so am getting something new out of the game even now. I've used it on-line via Wi-Fi and it worked really well. Just a great game to always have with you, you'll certainly get your money's worth!
