  1.  A classic, spoiled

A lovely adventure yarn with an intriguing storyline; a boy and a tiger share a lifeboat together. Up until the last chapter I was ready to declare this one of my favourite books but then...oh dear, what a horrible way to end it. I won't spoil it, but the final chapter of this book is akin to an artist painting an exquisite masterpiece and then purposefully ruining it by throwing a can of black paint at the canvas.

  2.  A wholehearted recommendation

This is such a fantastic game that I just had to chip in with five stars. If you don't yet have it and are thinking about buying it then think no more - just do it!

  3.  A gamer's essential

EXCELLENT book! Reviews of all the best (and worst) video games and a brilliant screenshot gallery.

  4.  War in the Pacific

Battlestations: Midway is not your typical console game, and that in itself is probably the biggest thing going for it. This is a strategy game first and foremost with a bit of gunnery and plane flying thrown in. It should also be noted that in the larger scale missions you can set your ships and planes to 'autopilot' and simply direct them around from the main map screen. Graphics and longevity are average, but if you are in the mood for something different (or have a personal interest in the War in the Pacific) then its worth buying.
