I wasn't expecting much from TR, I'd not really played any earlier titles but overall I thought it was brilliant and I'm looking forward to a sequel.
The graphics are excellent maxed out, I found that my rig. I'm running an AMD PII 965, 8 gig ram and 7850 1GB which handled it typically above 60 fps indoors and about 40 fps in some of the more demanding outdoor scenes. The 7850 limited the game not the CPU.
The story is very good and engaging although some of the NPC characters involved in the plot are a bit 'obvious'. The game play is good, combat is exciting but perhaps sometimes a little easy. I played first round on hard and didn't die often in firefights even with dozens of enemies yet in contrast sometimes there are button bashing or button press timing scenes which are difficult to respond to on the keyboard but do-able with a few attempts. Quite frustrating.
I'd seriously suggest giving it a go.
