Batman: The Dark Knight
16 New from
I'm a huge batman fan and have been ever since watching the campy 60s show when i was about 4 (i know people call it but it certainly put batman back on the map, as did burtons first two).
Batman, batman returns and begins are the benchmarks which i would consider the best bat-films (batman & robin is better left forgotton. But this one just left me feeling, empty i guess. I know this goes against the majority of reviews on here,
Yes, heath ledgers performance was good, but not so much for all the praise being heaped on it. He was a menacing and creepy joker yes, but as a movie watcher i was actually sat there waiting for the joker to actually do something other than smack his lips (without spoiling things, i did think things picked up a bit from the hospital part).
Bales batman, sorry to say, was awful. He was so good in begins, but then that film focused more on the bruce wayne side of the character. To me that was the problem between that and this, there wasn't really any focus on anything.
The fight scenes with batman weren't fantastic, the scenes with wayne were awkward.
One thing i did like was harvey dent. To me he was the most interesting factor in this installment as he seemed to get the most character development out of everyone. Same goes for gordon, i found myself wanting to see more of him than i did wayne.
The picture quality on the blu-ray is up there with the best, its picture quality like this which should give hd a good name.
Haven't had time to go through any of the extras yet though, so can't comment.
Well here's to the next one, though not sure who they'll choose to be the villan (think the most obvious choice would be catwoman, though i would never have guessed ra's al ghul would have been the choice for begins, so maybe there'll be a surprise in store).
Motorola F3 Orange Pre-Pay Mobile Phone
The negative reviews are baffling, this phone is supposed to be 'basic' which is reflected in the price.
If all you do is make calls and the occasional text then this is perfect, as it has the 'liquid ink' display which doesn't drain the battery life (and the battery life is fantastic). No bells or whistles but for £10 it does the job.
Call quality is fantastic, build quality likewise.
