  1.  GRIPPING

Season 3 introduces a few new characters to the cast and focusses a lot more on the mysterious 'others'. Some questions are being revealed, but more often than not more are being asked and leave us all wanting the answers in the next installment - this is great!
One of the other things I really love about the show is the huge cast and the ability to have mini story arcs embedded within the main plot, allowing for us to never get too bored or familiar with the characters.
The show is another great fantasy drama from the US - plenty of guess work to be had throughout and I recommend it to anyone who doesn't take TV too seriously.

  2.  Fun

Typically fun album from a band on the rise. Catchy and most definately strong efforts make this album an exciting debut. They are not breaking any boundaries, but they are having a good time in the process, which clearly rubs off in this record. Well worth a listen for anyone looking for some good solid new music that isn't going to set the world alight just yet.

..buy this boxset. It is a great investment. If you like fantasy drama then this is definately for you. It has everything: main plot; sub plots; suspense; action; twists. It gets better and better as it goes on. The character story arcs develop and start interlacing with each other. It is just a really fun addictive watch.
The dvd comes with loads of extras as the guy below has pointed out, around about 12 hours.
    Worth every penny.

  4.  Here come the Fuzz

Pegg and Frost star in another instant classic. Pegg is without a doubt one of the best british writers in a long time. His love of films makes him a genius. The humour is undeniably funny; the constant references to other cop movies are extremely subtle to the point where you are dying of laughter.
If you thought Spaced and Shaun of The Dead were funny, then this should be a must. Joined by a whos who of british comedy, this is a must see for everyone.
If by any chance you are reading this and thinking; 'this film was rubbish/cr*p' then it seems you haven't quite understood the film and I insist you rewatch it.
Great film and up there with the best the US has to offer.

  5.  PROTECT

Maybe I got caught up in the moment with this film, but for me, it was one of the best films of the summer without a shadow of a doubt. Optimus Prime on the big screen AND with the original voice, come on, if that doesn't do it nothing will! Shia LaBeouf does a great job and shows why he is the new token film star for hollywood. Michael Bays directing is second to none, and the animation is breath-taking.
If you are an 80's kid, or even a big kid at heart, then I urge you to watch this film. I mean come on, giant talking robots, action, comedy, romance, and a plot all in one movie - must be worth a few hours of your time at least.

  6.  Longest day of my life

I can't say much more than what others have contributed before me. If for some reason or another you are yet to watch this and are fans of prison break, sopranos, csi, for godsake go out and rent/buy/borrow/steal, anything to get your hands on one of the finest dramas ever shown on TV.
Without a doubt the most enjoyable 16 or so hours you'll ever have sat in front of the TV, not only that, but Jack Bauer will become a legend.

  7.  Groundbreaking

I borrowed this boxset off a friend and within 8 episodes went out and bought it for myself. It is great. I missed it when it was originally shown on TV, and I must have steered clear of all the hype. This show really is groundbreaking, and I haven't enjoyed anything as much since 24 season 2. Fantastic cast, fastastic season, a must have for everyone.

  8.  Brilliant

I haven't been as impressed with a tv show since 24 emerged. My friend urged me to watch this and I'm glad he did. Season 2 picks up from where it ended in 1, and the season gets stronger and stronger. New additions to the cast make it even stronger than the first. Every episode is intense, will keep you in suspense, and there will be more twists than you could ever imagine. Fantastic piece of TV and a must watch/buy if you get the chance.

Don't get me wrong, I love 24. I have been an avid fan since season 1, which for me, was one of the best tv dramas for god knows how long and really raised the bar for every other show. The concept was unique - pretty much everything about it was great. Season 6 however continues where for me 3 started and 5 went, downhill.
The writers and producers really need to sit back and rewatch seasons 1 and 2 and take everything that was great about them, and put all of that into season 7 to make it watchable.
That's not to say season 6 isn't great, because it has some great moments, and well worth watching for any die hard 24 fan (as i know how much we all want it to be great and jack to kick arse), as well as fans of prison break and even [spooks]. However, that extra bit of quality (maybe from the cast [not inc Peter MacNicol who was one of the great additions]) is lacking in season 6 and needs to be addressed for 7. They keep coming up with some fantastic ideas but then reuse too many old story lines and it is getting old and fast.
Do watch it though, it is worth making your own judgements on the show if only to see something I didn't!
